Why is this a two-page long debate in a thread entitled "suggestions for Earl Hilton?" Make the dam suggestion and move on. There's like three other threads out here where you can complain. Message received...I've moved on!

i think its good to have it here because i doubt that mr. hilton reads the entire message board and he needs to see the overwhelming opposition to our current crew. if its covered in 2 or more threads, then that's good. it shows the overwhelming opposition to our current crew.
maybe this thread will get his attention and inspire him to read the other threads...

OSA: The crew may yet be able to save face by changing their approach to their over all casting. It has been done before and they do have time to change things up. Wouldn't you say saabman, this is just me, but i don't think changing their approach will work. as the saying goes, "ya can't teach old dogs new tricks". those guys have been doing this stuff the same way for so long, they're probably stuck in their own ways. i mean, look at what happened to long time hbcu sports announcer charlie neal over at espnu. charlie neal is one of my favorite hbcu broadcasters, but just like our radio crew, over the years his performance has deteriorated. he started making mistakes and mispronouncing words. i still prefer him over the alternative announcers that espn has assigned in his place. but its a business and i suspect charlie failed to meet espn standards. so we don't hear from charlie very much anymore on espnu. same situation as our radio crew, old dog, can't learn new tricks. young dog, can learn new tricks. so let's find us a relatively young up and coming dog who can learn new tricks and let's groom him to become our "long term" official voice of aggie football...

My suggestion would be to scan and protect those old and fading newspaper football articles in the student union's showcase.
Also please suggest that an area for the for the Hall of Fame be set aside in the New Union. Interactive.

I appreciate the NCA&T Athletic newsletters. I would like to now see video highlights incorporated into the Highlights. By the way, is Ken still the head guy at the TV Studio in Crosby? He taught me quite a few things when I interned at Channel 13 a few years ago.

Also, may we also have Brian push the N&R to improve it's online coverage of A&T Athletics? I shouldn't have to pay for the PDF copy of the paper to read articles on Athletics.

Play more evening and night games in football. Those 1:30 games suck!!!
No need for lights if you ain't going to use them. You will also get a better crowd.

I would suggest you direct this idea to Hilton by phone, e-mail, or mail. I have and a few others have also. As Kevin Garnett said, "Anything is possible".

I agree....also, you have folk that work in the daytime hours that would probably attend an evening game on Saturdays. Food for thought.

I love Aggie Stadium whenever the lights are on. NCCU or WSSU labor day nite was magical back in years past.

P J, you are correct in what you stated about when the night and day games are played or should be scheduled according to the weather and or Homecoming or Kids Day. Hoiwever, that is not what they do at A&T.
The majority of the time in the past decade they have played 1:30 games when it is still hot in Sept. and the sun is beaming down hard. This is bad on everyone. You are trying to watch the game with the sun beaming in your eyes and you are sweating from the heat. Very uncomfortable.
They should play all games except Homecoming and Kids Day from 4 P M to 7 P M. The crowds would be larger and we would make more money. I am like you P J, I enjoy a game at night with the lights on and a cool breeze is blowing on my face. I even like games at night when it is cold. That, to me is true football weather.
However, the powers to be like those horrible 1:30 games for some reason. We waited years to get some lights in the stadium for night and late games and they don't even take advantage of the lights. I just don't understand.

Suggestion: We need a wall of Aggies who made it to the professional level. Show the history in the new (near the Aggie Sit-in) part of the Student Union somewhere.
