I have a first hand report that at least 60-65 players worked out today. The players did a lot of running moving to different stations with Coaches barking out orders. There was at least four to seven players that did not work out today. Maybe tranfers, but there is young man by the name of Johntavious Mullins Qb from South Cobb High School ( Poor Man VICK) Check out high lights on Yube Tube........ Most Schools in the MEAC want him......

He actually looks like a poor man's Terrence Webb ... or Ricky Lewis.
I guess we found ourselves another receiver.

Boy, Broadway keeps it real: Greensboro, NC - Normally, head football coaches are very chatty on the first day of practice. The entire slate for the season is cleared, and the possibilities are endless. Not brand new NC A&T head coach Rod Broadway. He kept things extremely simple. "We need to get better," said Broadway.
When asked about the local talent he brings in with receiver Derek Grant from HP Central, Julian Alston from Dudley, and plenty of others: "We need to get better," Broadway repeated.www.digtriad.com/sports/article/186120/13/New-NC-AT-Head-Coach-On-First-Day-Of-Practice-We-Need-To-Get-Better

His highlights are okay...but he can't play reckless like that on the college level. He'll get killed.

I agree with BT. This kid seems better suited to play the Wildcat. He doesn't appear to be a natural at QB.

I am only interested in news about the offensive and defensive line. I really think we still have some guys at the skill positions who can get it done. The lines will be the areas that will make or brake this team

Reminds me a lot of of the kid that was at BCU last year. I don't believe the offense will not be the problem. The offensive line is a pretty stout group. The defense's ability to stop the run or to at least hold it's own in containment is the key to how far and how fast we will go this year.

i think mullins looks okay, but based on his highlights, he has "happy feet" and rarely if ever steps up in the pocket. most of his passes on the video occurred without intense defensive pressure around him. he appeared to have decent speed, but certainly not "home run" speed. i'd be more inclined to go with him than webb or lewis, but i just didn't see anything about him that says he's a 2 star or better recruit.
i need to go back and look at kindle's high school video highlights. when i last saw kindle's video, he gave me the impression that he's a true natural qb who doesn't have "happy feet" and will step up in the pocket "while under pressure" and calmly pass the ball accurately. i just didn't see that in mullins' video...

folks, here's what a "real" quarterback looks like. a pass first, run second, pro style qb who will step up in the pocket and accurately pass the football!
lady and gents, please take a look at your qb and mine, mr. lewis kindle:

lawd, please keep this dude healthy! he's a bonafide qb, folks. and, he's got 3 more years of eligibility. if he stays healthy, i predict he will break almost all of a&t's passing records. just look at the "accuracy" of his passes (especially while under pressure) on the videos. remember all those "wide open" receivers that last year's qb's somehow couldn't complete passes to? won't happen this year if kindle stays healthy. we would have "easily" won at least 3 or 4 more football games last year had kindle been healthy. i know he's only started 2 games in his young career and still has plenty to prove. but i swear, i think we've got a "jewel" of a quarterback on our hands and that can make a huge difference in terms of winning football games. oh, and by the way, he can flat out run too...

This is actually the first time I've seen any action of Kindle. From the footage he definitely has the tools of a big time qb. Still, I'd like to see Lewis compete for the starting job or backup. The only time I saw Lewis play was against NCCU and they had no answer for him. Lee played him one series and he promptly marched the team in for a td with a mix of keepers and short passes. I was totally baffled as to why he didn't let him stay in the game?
