I guess Peacock is looking at that situation the same way we view our situation with playing VUL!! Both A&T and Savannah St. have been proverbial losers for the past few years.

Why not Univ Miami,USF, UAB and many others have done this before the jump. But the good thing about A & T's situation is this We Have nothing to lose, if we lose ok that's a given. If we make it close we are steps ahead. If we win Its RESPECT and a new football Rivalry maybe born!!!

When we win we will celebrate accordingly.
We have beat them in the past. Give us 2 years!

hey, i for one am not one who often predicts "doom and gloom" for aggie athletics. if anything, i'm the "ultimate" aggie optimist. but at the same time, i'm a "realist" and a straight shooter.
too many times around here we've bought into high expectations. and too many times we've fallen on our faces. about this same time last year, a lot of us thought we were a lock to win at least 5 or 6 games. yet, we only won 1. and let's not even discuss what our preseason expectations were 3 or 4 years ago. so i've learned my lessons. minimize disappointment by lowering expectations.
broadway is a smart dude! how many times since he's been aggie head football coach have he expressed the notion (or even hinted) that we have a team that can go toe to toe with the #1 preseason ranked fcs team in the nation, app state?
i love the enthusiasm of those who think somehow we're on app state's level. and i really can't comment "intelligently" on that until i see our final roster. but based on what i know right now, ain't no way in hail we're gonna beat app state on their home field when we only have 33 scholarships and they have the full allotment of twice as many scholarships.
hey, i know stranger things have happened and i'm not willing to "guarantee" an aggie loss. but somebody around here has to be a realist and call it the way it really is. nobody on the planet would be happier than me if we somehow upset app state. but i'm not expecting it to happen, not by a long shot...

I would like a win but that is not what I am saying> I said that we have nothing to loss against Appalachian State. Just like UVAL has nothing to loss against us! Their is only Gains for UVAL and A & T. If we don't blow UVAL out or if they make the game close man we SUCK. The same is true for Appalachian State. Trust me if we make that a close game they will not be ranked # 1 on the next poll that comes out. They may just drop out of the top 25 all together. I feel this way if we are going to be as bad as some of you think (me not being one)! Be a bad team that nobody wants to play!! (And I know that you have see teams like that)?? A team like that will take you to the laments and fight you to the end. That,s all I am saying. Hail if we are going to have a bad season there is no reason that we can't F-up the season for other teams.
