If the game actually happens there will be at least 10,000 in attendance.

i think decks is right. there will be at least 10k to show up because contrary to popular belief, a lot of folk simply don't follow hbcu football to the point where they've heard of every single hbcu.
half of aggie supporters know almost nothing about some of the opponents we play, including some students. when i was a freshman, i'd never heard of virginia union before. but we played them my freshman year and took several busloads of students to richmond who hardly knew anything about union either.
i think most of the non-diehards aren't interested enough to research a team like vul. they just go to games because its an event, not because they're diehard hbcu fans. just because its labor day weekend and opening day, 10k isn't far fetched at all...

Yep...10,000 sounds about right.
(For a home season-opener with a new brand new head coach and staff, it really SHOULD be at least 17,000 in the house. However, playing UV-L really throws a monkey wrentch into this one.)

People will be there. It will be the first chance people will get to see the 2011 edition B&G MM.
Plus with the new life breathed into the football program, people will be there no matter who the opponent is.

No offense but the HBCU fan base is fairly ignorant including ours. We could schedule BCS National Champ Auburn and the only thing the majority of our fans would care about is if they are bringing their band. This game will basically be for the B&GMM. We'll easily have 10,000 - 12,000 in attendance.

This game with not be a big draw for the band heads because unlike the avg. football fan, band heads want to see two good bands go toe to toe and this game will only have one band. This game will be for the die-heart Aggie fans!

We keep talking about Die-Hard Aggies which is really only about 500 to 1000 people. What is our previous season opener attendance.

. . . or you could roll south on US17 and see ECSU vs WSSU. That's probably where I'll be since I'm at the beach that weekend.
