I understand the economy side of it. I get that. But your a$$ need to start winning some game before you tell everyone at the tailgate oh by the way you need now pay $25-$35 for a ticket before you enter the tailgate. Do you realize how many people at homecoming like to come and support the aggies at the tailgate but not be force to buy tickets. I just don't think we are in that high of demand. If they plan to do this at the very least they need to reduce the ticket price so it will be affordable for low income families. I guess I'm confused about the word "support". How is coming to tailgate without buying a ticket "support"? That's part of the problem with our culture. We want to take take take and have a good time, but not pay a dime for it. They could have said "if you want to JUST tailgate" it will be $10 and people would have still had a problem with it.

Especially since that is the only time of the year that the vast majority of those people are going to be on campus for the entire year. Is one game ticket too much of a price to ask to support YOUR school?

Anyone else have ideas on how to increase revenue for Athletics and not using a the Game Zone Idea? yes! i've suggested this multiple times in the past. we lose tons of money every game from folk who park up to a mile or so away from aggie stadium. they park in the neighborhoods and as far away as the bessemer shopping center. why not use the classroom parking lots which are merely steps away from the aggie stadium gates and charge $10 for parking like other hbcu's do? overhead costs are virtually nonexistent, simply minimal. i'd be willing to bet my house that for every customer willing to pay $30 just to enter the "aggie fan zone", 6 customers would be willing to pay $10 to park across the street from the stadium...

That's not already being done? Those lots between the Union and the stadium are free??? Those lots should be secured by midnight on the night before the game and charge a standard rate for gameday parking.

It's funny, you clap for getting charged for parking, which IS a "tax", but dont like needing a game ticket to enter fan zone. I guess your people would just walk from farther away so they still wouldn't have to pay anything.

It's a good idea, but i think the problem is people always b*tch about what would students that need to re-enter the campus late at night or that morning do? My answer is always the same. If you leave prior to game time RIGHT NOW your spot is gone anyway. If you have a vaild ID with a dorm key they can let you through. It shouldn't even be an issue.

How about just a parking sticker to come and go? You can't park there without one anyways.

They would just have to make an "on-campus" pass and an "off-campus" pass. Off campus passes would still have to pay.

Plus, we are only talking about usually FOUR or FIVE Friday nights/Saturday mornings out of 52 per year. We put up portable electronic signage on Game Week at the entrance to every lot saying that "your car will not be allowed to park in this lot beginning at 10:00 pm on Friday night thru midnight on Saturday night. All violators will be towed."
