Well from a coaches stand point it is much needed. Who wants to sit on top of the press box, outside under a tent. You'd much rather be indoors with a little less noise and not have to worry about the wind blowing your game plan and papers everywhere.

It is now under construction, so for those who are excited, great, and for those who have reservations, concerns, complaints or other ideas about what should or shouldn't be. Too late now.

I hope the crew takes those Ug-mug ticket booths with them... take it all down! aggie2ru I understand how you feel about the new pressbox, I suggested in the old topic that the entrance area under the box could be designed to give the average Aggie fan (like you and I) a taste of the luxury that the big dollar bills get upstairs... It would be great to outfit that area with a hanging flat screen that could broadcast what is being displayed on the Jumbotron so that you never miss the action when not in your seat...it something that over time can be expanded to other parts of the stadium...just a thought, i mean we Aggie fans have stuck with then from the Hayes Era to the Fobbs error...it would be nice to throw us dawgs a bone too...lol Sidenote: I Still wish they would have went with my redesign...lol

Sidenote: I Still wish they would have went with my redesign...lol i think most of us liked your redesign, but i also think it would likely cost significantly more money to build...

In theory it could be done later on as a stadium upgrade somewhere or sometime down later the road. We are coughing up a lot of money for Broadway and his staff over the next five years to start winning some games to help pay for all these upgrades (coaching and facilities), so first things first.
But even without the additional facades going the length of the field, I looked at my some of my old memorabilia and what is being built now remarkably similar to what was in the original design back in 1974 when the first stadium fund raising campaign began except for it will be much taller, more glass, and roomier.

Remember the old stadium was prefab concrete. It was ambitious and it would have been nice. The so called "gas shortage" drove the cost of everything way out of wack. Took too long to raise the funds.

LOL @ Oleschool i wasn't being fully serious...If i were presenting the project to the Dowdy Bldg, I would have scaled it down, but also upped the seating cap by adding a couple hundred club seats tho ;D

It would be dope if they put up pictures of the construction process in various stages on www.ncataggies.comOr even a live stream at the construction site (they can even put a button to make donations to athletics conveniently beside the stream window ;D )...Ive seen many schools doing that and i always why not us...I mean wheres the "T" in A&T?
