Grambling folks are speculating that everyone off of the coaching staff are coming except the offensive coordinator Bob Leahy(from La) and the linebackers coach Andre Robinson(graduated from Grambling). The newspaper report stated that Broadway has the abilitly to hire his own staff. Broadway, 55, gets a five-year guaranteed contract with an annual salary of $232,500, the opportunity to hire his own assistant coaches, a car allowance and university benefits, Hilton said.www.news-record.com/content/2011/02/03/article/broadway_changes_mind_will_take_at_football_job

;D ;D Glad Big "B" can bring his own people in because that is what any DECENT coach should be able to do when hired. Man, I'm glad for that except I hope Rags lands in a good spot somewhere. I made a donation this morning---LET'S GET BEHIND THIS THANG!!!! One major suggestion---move the band closer to the center of the stadium where errrone can get in the flow---more noise=more excitement(da playars get more hype from it) AGGIE PRIDE!!!!

Will any of the old assistants be retained? Should they?

OK...Now is the time for Coach Broadway to bring in Alvin Parker as OC. He's considered as one of best OC in BCF and his offense is known to put up points. He's also considered being one of the best recruiters. Leave the Grambling OC in LA and bring in Alvin Parker.

Will any of the old assistants be retained? Should they?[/quote I believe you should always keep someone from the old staff to help with a smooth transition. Sometimes it works for the best, sometime it doesn't....All I know is that we have lost a lot of good coaches in the past the we probably should have held on to...(i.e.Darren Hart, Marshall Glenn, Keith Wagner)

;DIm on your side bruh, bruh but I have to respectfuuly disagree with your opinion of Marshall Glenn. I have watched his teaching skills in practices and games and I am unconvinced. The technical skills (foot work, proper throwing mechanics, etc.) have not been taught very well. Kindle is a natural talent but he hasnt had a lot of help and you know the story on the back ups. Glenn was marginal at best when he played but he is an outstanding person who probably be coaching on the high school level.

Glenn should have never had that type of responsibility directly out of school himself. It was to soon, so I dont blame him. he wasn't good enough or didn't have a decent enough teacher himself to already be coaching other college QBs. He may make a fine QB coach one day, but that was part of the problem with our staff in "General". Bad decisions in delegation.
I still think the staff should be all fresh blood with the exception of Rags. he held this thing together. Did he even apply anywhere else?

I am glad someone made a good call on Marshall Glenn, he def was not ready for that type of responsibility. As for Alvin Parker I agree he would make a good candidate for OC and I think he would do really well with the caliber of athlete we have in contrast to ECSU. There are some other good young coaches that would be a great addition to the staff Coach Downing at Elon is one of the best young recruiters in the area!

I get the feeling Broadway's a quick learner. The one issue I had with Coach Lee was his choice of assistants. I didn't feel that a first time head coach should have so many younger guys on staff, and I felt that as a long-time assistant himself he should have recognized that before even taking the job.
Broadway appeared to have learned almost immediately after his first season at Central. He seems to be a good judge of coaching talent, just as Hayes was.
