A&T has to make some serious academic changes now in football or they will never get from behind this APR "8-ball" with the increased pressure to raise the APR threshold. A lot of changes have been already made with more to come. If you talk to Hilton you'll see that 100% of his focus is on retention. As you know it will take a minute before it bears fruit. If we can get at least 900 on the next report we might can start getting this thing turned around.

the biggest change in terms of our apr should be "stability" and that has been taken care of by giving broadway the 5 year contract. then, we must keep our players in school and closely monitor their classroom performance. and finally, we must recruit academically sound athletes and painfully pass up on below average academic achieving athletes.
the best news is that broadway has a good track record of improving apr scores at grambling. hopefully he'll continue to do so at a&t...

aggiejazz: (Judy Genshaft, chairwoman of the Division I board of directors, said her group could approve the new 930 cutoff as soon as Thursday. Emmert said any tournament bans would likely not take place for another year or two.) That's the new APR cutoff gents.
