Let's go Tarboro! They have a RB his last name is Gurley, don't know his first name but he is very good. He's about 6'1" 190lbs and just a Jr.. He reminds people of another RB from Tarboro, Kelvin Bryant (UNCCH). He is worth going to see.

It's funny that when the heat and serious watchful eyes were on Indy, Knox couldn't even win the district. Now, he slides down across the boarder and wins immediately. Ummmm Jazz I believe your statement is incorrect about Indy not making it out of the districts after the investigation. Indy was investigated in 2007 and as a result lost 8 players on that team; however Knotts and the coaching staff were exonerated. In spite of lost players they still went on to the state championship where they lost New Bern 28-17. A lot of folks including myself think the lost players for Indy didn't make a difference as New Bern was just the better team that year. In 2008 Indy lost to Richmond County in the state 4AA Semi-finals by a score of 30-22. In 2009 Indy lost to Charlotte Butler in the state 4AA Semi-finals 48-17. Lastly, the fact that Knotts could go to another high school and start duplicating his success would seem to put a damper on your argument. Nice stats but his teams weren't the Juggernaut of the past years when they were invincible just beating the heck out of teams. I am still not sure they won their conference.

2-A Championship: Tarboro defeats Winston-Salem Carver 21-13 whole story www.news-record.com/content/2010/12/11/article/2_a_championship_tarboro_defeats_winston_salem_carver_21_13By The Associated Press WINSTON-SALEM (AP) — Todd Gurley II scored two touchdowns and Tarboro's defense came up with an insurance score Saturday to beat Winston-Salem Carver 21-13 in the Class 2-A North Carolina High School Athletic Association championship. Gurley, named the game's MVP, ran for 105 yards and one touchdown, and pulled in a 7-yard touchdown pass from Jamias Williams late in the third quarter that gave the Vikings a 14-13 lead. On the Yellow Jackets' next possession, linebacker Markell Howell returned an interception 36 yards for a Tarboro score. The Vikings' defense then stopped a potential game-tying drive at the goal line to give Tarboro (16-0) its second straight 2-A title and the third state title overall.

His track record is indisputable. The man has taken 3 high schools to state championships and next year will be the 4th.

They have taken over for Independence as the most dominant program in the state.
