How about the "ole" wing-T??? Hayes style... Hey I love the wing-t and I personally run it! What's wrong with it? My answer is nothing. People just try to jump on the band wagon as far offensive trends. The last few years it has been the spread, so that is what lots of schools try to run. Also, it sounds good when you try to recruit a player when you say we run the spread as oppose to saying we run the wing-t.

They ran the spread. Still do. They began running it after FAMU bludgeoned them half to death in the playoffs with it. FAMU had two qbs that year, Jajuan Seider and Quinn Gray. Seider was a scrambler, and he gave the formerly pass-happy FAMU offense a run dimension that nobody could really stop. App State picked up on it, perfected it, and the rest is history.
In my opinion, our players are best suited for the wing-t or the pistol. But can our coaches coach either one? Or would they want to coach either one? If not, the discussion is moot.

Shine's a great coach, but his heart is only at one place.

doesn't shine "despise" a&t? he certainly ran up the score on fobbs several years ago. like 70 plus points worth.
but to be honest, i just want to win! tired of losing! i don't care how we fix it, as long as it gets fixed. if lee is the answer, fine. if shine is the answer, fine. if someone else is the answer, fine. just get the dayum thang fixed!

We would have to get an entire new offensive coaching staff. If we tried to install a triple option attack our offense would look like organized confusion for the first 2 years. Think back to 2008 - but only worse. It would require way too much discipline and attention to detail. If you can master the offense, then you are in business. Most HBCU's struggle against it due to lack of discipline.

I believe we should run option more!!! we have a great running QB... so why not use his strength!!! rickey lewis ran the spread option in high school and was great at it!!!! when those DB's start creeping up... then we would have a great chance of completing more balls then we are now!! since it will be more man converage and less zone.... lewis is great at reading and knows when to pitch it and when to keep it!!!.... i believe instead of just running wildcat with him let him get on the edge and work his magic

Shine's a great coach, but his heart is only at one place. BCU and his wardrobe. Remember his floor length white fur in yesteryears? However, he is a good coach on the offensive side of the ball. Who would be his DC??? Lee?

That was a great team. They almost went up there and beat Youngstown State after they beat up on us...
