It is 2006 and I hear about that game. What happened to make this game so legendary?

Had all the elements of a BCS championship, Over 30,000 in attendance, two teams ranked in the top five in the nation in 1-AA, both unbeaten, one a prolific passing offense, the other a bone crusing ground machine, in a game that went back and forth all day long on big plays, blown opportunities on both sides in the kicking game, and finally decided on the first play in overtime.
In short, a spectator's game for the decade.

That's another game tape that I would pay top dollar for.

I was standing on the field during the overtime almost on the goal line.

Thats was my freshman year. I fell in love with A&T that day. I was dumb enough at the time to think every homecoming would be like that. We loss the game and i still consider it the best game I ever attended since starting school. The bands were both hot, the stadium was over flowing, and the weather was perfect all day long.
Long live Jame White. Anyone here remember when he used to where the t-shirt of the school they just beat to class on Monday? That was some funny sheeet. LOL
I must have been standing right beside you AggieWJM cause Howard's QB came running straight at us to win in OT.

I still can't get over our last defensive set.
Our offense was running on all cylinders.

I forgot about the fact that the Concert had:
2PAC, MC Lyte, Ice Cube, and I think Queen Latifah. It was also overflowing with people. Corbett couldn't hold it.
The concert, game, weather, parties(in my opinion) were all at their peak in the same weekend. That stuff played a big part in making it the perfect homecoming, especially in the minds of the younger crowd like myself at the time.

That was the first year the drum major came in via helicopter at halftime.
During our last series in regulation we had a second and five from around the 20 yard line. The wind was blowing to the left and instead of handing to James White (who had averaged around six yards per carry all week) Hayes had left-handed Maceo Bolin throw a long pass to the left. The wind carried the ball 10 yards out of bounds. The same exact play was called on third down. On fourth down the poor little kicker was called out and he was soooo wide left it was insane (wind, plus a bad snap and a bad hold).
Howard won in overtime on a bootleg run by the slowest, fattest qb in meac history.

You all are taking me back. That too was my freshmen year and probably the best college game I've ever attended. Y'all making me want to quit my job and re-enroll.
