A full out of state athletic scholarship is $18,310. A full in state scholarship is half of that.

one reason i know is beacuse we don't have that mean guys on money...i mean you can say you fund that number but when it comes to real money it wasn't like that....for example...Sweeney...he's not on full...was he not 1 of out best players...Trusty...he most recently got on full money....McBryde our best cover guy wasn't on money until this year...The list goes on and on...the coaching staff did what they could with the money they had and found guys to buy into the system...All those guys should have always been on money but there wasn't any to give....Sweeney and Trusty because they were out of state guys...In fact Sweeney was going to be put on full in state i May after he had lived on the state for a year and could claim residents...Figures can be flipped anyway you want them to make your point but when it comes down to the true story you must talk to the people that are living in it...Just to inform you i got a copy of one of those f-up poor written letters she wrote to the coaches...now that they are fired one of them just gave it to me cause he didn't need it...he also has kept me informed...i will call him if you have anymore question about why things are the way they are.

This makes the univeristy look bad, we are continuing to go through different coaches in 3 sports. Prospects are looking at consistency in a program at an university and we dont have that. This is not good this is actually negative and is going to affect the univeristy in the long run.

The only negative affect on the University in the "long run" is to continue to lose.

Another thing that makes a university look bad is when your team turns into a consistant loser and your coach blames the university.

Tom Knotts won his 90th straight game in the 4AA playoffs with a 52-7 win over a 12-1 Davie County team!

We're in the same boat with you guys now.
Paul Hamilton resigned tonight! So, this can only be good especially for getting our game back to where it should be, two good programs playing each other for a good hyped local game.
I wonder how Elon, A&T and Liberty all withing 100 miles of each other will affect each other while all three are looking for an entire new staff.

gophoenix,
Go to hear from you. What are the key issues surrounding Hamilton's resignation?

Congrats to Elon!!!!!
Methinks that we won't be looking in the same circles as Elon and Liberty will. I doubt George Small would've gotten the job at Elon and I doubt P-Ham would've gotten the job at A&T.

"Go to hear from you. What are the key issues surrounding Hamilton's resignation?" www.elonfans.com/viewtopic.php?t=817You can read about it some, but I'll cover the main points: 1) Paul Hamilton claims the school wouldn't support bringing in JUCOs and Transfers that we neded to win I say BS on this one. We have 9 transfers on the team now. Most were left from Al Seagraves. PHam brought in 4 last year. One got in trouble for drugs, two flunked out, and the other was a sketchy situation. If you want transfers, you have got to make sure they can perform in class. We are schools first, right? My opinion: -A new coach should never have his teams play progressively worst to have the worst performance be the last game of your second year. -We desperately need offensive linemen. I think 6 are leaving, leaving 5 on the team. he should have been recruiting players we need. -11 players have flunked out on his watch in two years -Discipline problems on the field -And then there is the QB issue. He played his son over Crews, Pope, Hudgins (ECU transfer), Williamson and Hursey, all were star NC football QBs Just my thoughts. My guess is that the donors demanded he be let go. None of the high giving donors came to the App game and only about 3k fans actually showed up for it.
