For comparison, this is what University of Delaware's strength & conditioning staff looks like:

The turnover in that department has been crazy over the past 3 years.

I've noticed that our conference peers call it Sports Performance now. Even Hampton calls it that.

We need to invest in that department. I wonder why we can’t keep people. We lost a good one in Ali and the one before him. It seems like that is a revolving door. Reasons?

It's the salary/salaries that keep this position on a revolving door carousel . You can't keep good employees if you are not willing to pay them above market value by a little bit. Example: In my case I have both level 1 and 2 USATF Program Certifications ,with the experience and education..Masters . I can ask for $ 80 to 100 an hour to train individual athletes if approached by there parents. The same holds true for the field of S&C coaches with the Certifications, education and degree and experience. In saying that why stay at a program that paying you 40,50 or 60 $ a year ,when you can get $ 80,90 or more a year at another program or make twice that on the private market. The Reason is the Salary.

What we do in the off season shows during the season. I have been a person that has said our S&C has to be a lot better before we can compete. All out nutrition needs to improve.

This is a good place to tap into research funding to help pay for these roles, especially in light of that heart study we did last year.

It's very important and you would think that programs see it that way . You can look at the winning programs and you will see that there is not a great turnover in their S&C and nutrition departments . If anything you will see them adding personnel not losing personnel.

BTW: Is there any reason why Quante Speight is still not listed on the website directory?
I thought he was hired as deputy AD months ago.

A&T is a stepping stone in the sense of that S&C world. One was an assistant there in 2011 and 2012 is now the head strength coach at Colorado. You all are right. Until we start really investing, we will continue to be a Stepping stone.
You had a Great long time loyal S&C coach in Walthaw but A&T dropped the ball and let him go. Last time I checked, he was still around the area. We need to show up at his door with some flowers and a real check

Any reason why Tommie Moore is not listed in the staff directory?
