Volleyball Adds Former North Carolina A&T Setter Chiara Napoli CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga indoor volleyball team is proud to reveal one of the team's newest additions for the coming 2024 season, with the team officially signing transfer Chiara Napoli out of the transfer portal, as announced by head coach Julie Torbett on Tuesday. Napoli, a six-foot lefty setter from Saint-Raphael, France, joins the Mocs after playing her previous two seasons for North Carolina A&T. While with the Aggies, Napoli appeared in all 52 of the team's matches over the previous two seasons. Napoli will have two more years of eligibility remaining in her career once she joins the UTC squad, as she is set to enter her junior season in the NCAA. "So happy that Kiki (Chiara Napoli) has joined our team this spring," Coach Torbett said. "It will give her the opportunity to learn our system and work on the timing with our hitters before next season. She is very motivated to be a great player." gomocs.com/news/2024/1/24/volleyball-volleyball-adds-former-north-carolina-a-t-setter-chiara-napoli.aspxThis is a big loss for us. A 6ft lefty setter with soft hands is very hard to come by. Her experience playing at the highest levels in France is invaluable in the locker room. If losing her is a result to the mysterious issues with the asst coach, someone needs to be removed asap. As of this moment we have NO setter on the roster. This is insane. Not having a setter is like not having a point guard, or a quarterback. Now we need to bring in at least 2 setters and get them up to speed on our offense and develop chemistry with our hitters.

Me too. Should be well accepted by the team. Hopefully this helps remove whatever asst coach issues were being experienced last season that caused some key players to depart.

So is the other assistant coach still there, or is this new coach replacing her?
