What could the volleyball players be seeking in the transfer portal? Is there NIL money out there for them? That and other things. Volleyball is big business in many states. In Texas, I had to compete against finding gym time for my basketball team practices because these large Volleyball organizations were paying top dollars in advance to reserve all courts in the facilities. Jermaine O’Neal (former NBA player) opened up a DriveNation Nike facility awhile back primarily for basketball and volleyball. His daughter played volleyball for the University of Texas.

Sorry fellas I didn't know this was a thing... To keep it a buck with you. This one is arguably more concerning than any of the others. It’ll be nice to know why she’s transferring. But yeah…the portal works for all. So all of our coaches should know how to navigate it…

I believe Univ of Texas is ranked in the top 10 in volleyball.

What could the volleyball players be seeking in the transfer portal? Is there NIL money out there for them? Facilities and amenities? Probably. So many athletes chase NIL, and facilities. Our coaches are solid, and conference is perfectly adequate for our level of talent. Hopefully the team can re-group and focus on turning the program around. The facilities will come, but we need to demonstrate success first. We have all the ability. Our 5th set losses were devastating, but it shows that we can hang and be competitive with anyone.

I do wonder what upgrades need to be made to Moore Gym?

If leadership isn't serious about being in the CAA and compete...you should have stayed in the MEAC... I believe they will turn it around...but folks have to realize it's going to come at a cost... Losing is still losing...and nobody likes to lose for an extend period of time...and right now...that's what it's looking like... We need a financial injection now...not 15 years from now...by then...will it matter?

Their departures have nothing to do with facilities, so let's not go down this rabbit hole.
Also has nothing to do with wins and losses.
Let's just stop this CAA vs MEAC nonsense

Their departures have nothing to do with facilities, so let's not go down this rabbit hole. I agree they have little/nothing to do with the initial desire to transfer, but I’m sure enhanced facilities are a major selling point when trying to show recruits that you take your program seriously. I think some athletes look at A&T as a stop-over to gain film and transfer out. I also believe that we have athletes who are committed to the program and really want to be part of the change in turning the program around. The question is: how do we develop that culture in all athletes?

Not dismissing ur statement, just letting you know the scenario you described is not in play here.

Is coaching, team culture/bullying, recruiting, or something else the biggest issue in your opinion?

Furthermore, the staff messed up some logistics with trips.

Does this assistant also handle then logistical support for trips? If so, 2 birds. Must be some intense disagreements if they’re willing to transfer out because of it.

They all hate the assistant coach.
The logistics just compounds the issue. I am sure they can overlook the logistics issue but the issue with the assistant coach not so much.

So what is the head coach doing to resolve the issues with his assistant coach?
This honestly seems like a situation that could have be repaired with better communication.
I understand the stated reasons for why 3 top players are now looking to transfer, but my spidey sense is telling me the real story is deeper than this.
