Now, I'm just waiting on the College of Charleston to the A-10 shoe to drop.

Now, I'm just waiting on the College of Charleston to the A-10 shoe to drop. The Atlantic 10 has 15 members already. It looks like the Atlantic 10 members that have football teams, play in the CAA. I don't think the Atlantic 10 would take members from the CAA.

IMHO, It probably doesn't happen until Saint Louis and Dayton are invited to join the Big East.

If Delaware can move to the FBS (because they can), then all power to em. I'm still kind of worried about how we're going to do in the CAA....

This was the main reason why the CAA basically raided the Big South. casting a wide net for members helps soften the blow when schools like JMU and Delaware leave.
the main issue is that these top FCS schools are kind of in a bind as their P5, well now P4 counterparts, are sucking up all of the TV money. Add to that ESPN isn't going to be shelling out the money they did in the 2000s and 2010s, the pool of funds for non-P4 schools will shrink.
Ultimately, we're going to see that P4 group separate and we're seeing G5 programs fight for space in that group. If you're left behind, you may as well begin considering moving to an intramural model of sorts.
This is why A&T ultimately joined the CAA and why UD is joining C-USA. My question is really what New Hampshire, Richmond, Villanova, and W&M will do? Those 4 are the CAA lynchpins and losing any one of them will hurt. Ideally, A&T Football quickly getting back to their winning ways and generating national attention would help. However, that seems to be a lot right now.

What is the CAA going to do in response? What schools are the potential replacement list?
Also the twitter comments are annoying.

So we technically didn’t HAVE to take the CAA invitation when we did.
Of course who would’ve known for certain.

Oh, how blessed we are for getting into the CAA 10 years ahead of time. 0-8 in football.... 0-20 in basketball.... He'll make a way....
