They were there on sidelines during pregame warm-ups like they are most home games. Let's put this recruits being campus to bed.

How does your reply put my question about the number of HS recruits @ GHOE to rest? With a down year in team performance and the 1st full recruiting season of this coaching staff the question was about the comparison of this year's number of turnouts to previous years. And if anyone else wanted to take it a step further they may wanted to know were there potential players that could fill a potential needed void or depth at a particular position. I myself was more interested in the total number of recruits at the game.

Eli is the better QB in the room! Unfortunately he was never given an legit opportunity, I afraid it may be too late!

Probably a topic for a new thread, but I also felt they pulled the plug on him way too early. But it was their call to make.

Eli had been god awful. He would throw INTs in every game he got in before you could count to 10. He played himself to the sidelines. Hopefully, he’s getting the coaching he needs; hopefully, the game has slow down for him as well. He always looked rushed to me; feet were never settled before he threw…

He always looked rushed to me; feet were never settled before he threw… Statistical data does not support your all of your comments on Eli performance the past 2 season. 2022: GP = 2, QB RTG = 143, INT = 0, CMP = 6 out of 10, TD = 1 2023: GP = 5, QB RTG = 97, INT = 2, CMP = 11 out of 26, TD = 1 Your comment of throwing an interception in every game is an exaggeration. He would not have thrown an interception yesterday if not for the Hail Mary throw. His QB RTGs over 2 seasons suggests that he is not god awful. 158.3 is the max rating and anything over 100 is considered good. White currently has a QB RTG of 101. White has 4 INTs over 7 games. I agree with some that we have not fully evaluated Eli's potential in the games, but I also agree with you that there were 1 or 2 situations that quickly got him benched where certain coaches may have had a little more patience to see if he could worked himself out of trouble like in baseball where they let a pitcher work his way out of a tough ending.

We were simply overmatched by UAB. "Kevin gets the lion's share of reps in practice, and we did some things schematically today that we had not done before this season, different formations, different personnel groupings," said Brown. "Although Eli got reps in those things, he didn't get as many reps to manage the offense as well as Kevin, so we had to go back to a lot of the things that have been some of our core plays throughout the season, and I think Eli did a nice job of distributing the ball and pulling the ball down and taking off when the opportunity to run the ball presented itself." ncataggies.com/news/2023/11/4/football-towson-holds-off-never-quit-aggies-at-greatest-homecoming.aspx

Even against a packed box our back were hitting close to 4 yards a pop . That opened up everything,to the point in Play action the defense flowed to the faking back and left the quarterback and open Lane to run if he chose to, pulled the linebackers out of coverage leaving underneath routes open. That was the difference in this game we went back to our run first and often mentality. Yes Eli played good but the running game opened up everything. For me that was the difference in this game.

He had only played in the puke and SCSU games before that.

9 points, 7 points or 100 points...it doesn't matter if your defense can't stop your opponent from scoring. And we can't stop a Pop Warner team. We've got limited talent, inexperience and a few players that don't have the heart for the game. That makes it tough to win in this conference. I just want to get through this season and start getting ready for next season. I don't expect any more wins this season. We had this same discussion in the area where I sit. That said, how about our defense did hold them enough that if we had kicked the 2 extra points as opposed to going for the two 2 pt conversions we would have been down by 8 with the ball near the end to score a TD and THEN go for the 2 pt conversion to tie. But because we tried the 1st 2 pt conversion too early (chasing pts too early) we put ourselves in a bind where we needed too many pts/scores.

....so he was willing to go for 2 points to try to cut the game to 28-25 in the 4th quarter ---- CORRECT? It failed, so the score was 28-23. ....so 6 minutes later, we're down by 12 and he elected to cut the lead to 9, which still made it a 2-score game. I'm baffled. In 1 situation, he's willing to try to get the score down to 1 FG....then a few minutes later, he kicks a meaningless FG to cut the score from 12 to 9. That's mathematically inconsistent thinking. The FG wasn't meaningless. The reason is that it gives you points as opposed to going for the 1st down, failing and not getting anything. The biggest issue was going for the 1st 2 pt conversion. It was too early to start chasing points in that way.
