I hope this isn’t true; because we have at least 4 more years of that type of bad position evaluation. Yes it is true, the Headless Horseman said it before last years game…they are friends from high school. He was too small, and his qb won the game. That qb from Campbell was benched the next game and I don’t think he ever played again. Campbell has never had a winning record in their program history why does their qb matter.

He is a better QB than Efedi and White. he has put up better stats than all our QBs over the last 3 years. The lies, he did play the next game...why say stuff you have no clue about? gocamels.com/sports/football/stats/2022/bryant/boxscore/206343he was probably injured.

Because we are proudly and forever will be a part of that culture. If we had an academic board I would proudly speak on that success of A&T. But this board is for athletics.. If HBCU culture is the only thing that you actually care about and you base your sense of of being in you have bigger problems. Worrying about HBCU culture, whatever that is will be a crutch and stop growth of this university. It reminds me of people that never leave the town they grew up in and wonder why they are broke and there is a cycle of being broke in their family. Be comfortable being uncomfortable, those that are comfortable rarely reach their full potential. I’ll leave you with the words your parents and grandparents told you - no matter where you go, no matter how far you climb, you will always be viewed as black -.. I don’t know what some of you thought this was but we are and always be a part of the culture- and thank god because that culture is what made me and almost every successful black person what they are today. The chancellor himself said we are not interested in changing our culture we are adding to their culture. HBCU culture is what made us the largest and greatest and HBCU culture is how we will remain that way. We will always be an HBCU will always be viewed as an HBCU good or bad, and nothing will ever change that. Ever.

Good deflection, you are the one that believes because A&T is in a PWI conference A&T is no longer has HBCU culture. Because you are black doesn't mean you base everything in life around what other black people do. Sounds like that is all you have in life to be proud about.

Yes the HBCU grads are talking mad smack and that’s what mostly I see on social media- particularly the biggest HBCU influencers and bloggers. But they dont have to say it. Like I said it was already in peoples heads . Particularly when we have alumni running around making statements that we moved up and better. The chitlin conference etc. makes us look even more dumb. We knew it was going to be in the atmosphere before it even happened. That’s why the promise was made we are not going to get embarrassed. Everyone knew what it was. Period. And all I’m saying and I’m not blaming anyone one person. The decision to blow up the program before establishing a benchmark in the CAA could be disastrous. I’ve had to do a lot of “I told you so posts” this is one time I am praying to Jesus that my fears do not become reality, and we don’t spend the next 15-20 years rectifying this decision. We have done it b4. I refer you to the exit of coach Corbett and how long it took us to rectify that and we really never have to be honest. In the grand scheme of things these HBCU bloggers are nobody’s. Believe it or not the people that right checks and send their kids to school for an education don’t know these bloggers. Any idiot with a Twitter account can call themselves a blogger or influencer 😂. People with lives and are actually movers and shakers in this world aren’t on social media following random idiots. What you fail to understand is that the program wasn’t blown up, Washington ran it into the ground. All the players you see on the field are Washington not Broadways recruits. The roster was literally mismanaged by Washington, signing a bunch of kids that were undersized or couldn’t cut it academically. All the quarterbacks on the roster were recruited by Washington, the WRs that drop passes recruited by Washington. The offensive lineman, recruited by Washington. We didn’t beat a single team last year that had a winning record. This year was going to be a disaster regardless of who was brought in, the bright spot is that we now don’t have to worry about being under NCAA penalties because of academics. I still believe Coach Washington brought kids in that could play in the Big South. I understand the academics were a big issue. I still believe Coach Washington, Hilton, and Martin were not on the same page. I feel the same way Coach Washington did, we are not ready for the CAA. Let’s be real, we can bash old coaches and so forth. Who hired the old and new coaches? Who wanted us to be in a new conference? Who is retiring and getting out and not following through on his decisions? This is an athletic forum and we do care for the student athletes. We want them to be successful on both sides. Are these student-athletes getting what they really need? What will we sale the new recruits on? You can play as a freshman, we are getting a new weight room, etc. I just think the powers to be made some decisions that our school was not ready for. I think most people would agree.

I have never said that - don’t put words in my mouth. I responded to your post. I believe we are an HBCU in a pwi confernce. I’ve always said although I disagree with it I completely understand the chancellors point of view in changing mind sets. He just didn’t realize it was his alumni base mindsets we have to change .. the chancellor repeatedly said it was a lateral move but some peoples mindset translate that to be better. And that is against everything he was trying to accomplish. Just because it’s a pwi confernce doesn’t make it better it’s different and he wanted to show people that we doing the same things over here just black. His marketing plan has never waivered from black students .. I am in line with him ..he knows if we lose the respect and the privilege of being apart of the HBCU culture- then we have nothing. And that is a fail. But we leave nothing behind.. we taking it with us .

My guess is we are not going to beat Hampton or anyone else. When kickoff returns are your only offense there’s not much hope. Defense is ok not great. Every game the opposing team scores on their first drive with ease so I don’t know how that’s great. Getting first downs is the equivalent of getting touchdowns for this offense. Dear Hampton just swivel kick the ball and you will win in a shutout 💯 I can’t believe we blew up this program to rubble - in a transition. The worst time in the world to do it. At least give time for recruits to see the possibilities of coming to our program would do. There have been some bone head asinine decision made in athletics - game zone, selling the stadium for pennies,- to name a few, but firing a two time conference champion while losing a conference championship game ranks up at the top of craziness. So much for the promise we won’t be embarrassed by the move. We are the laughing stock of the entire HBCU culture. And all of it was self inflicted.. smh For your bone head asinine decisions made in athletics: - GameZone - What evidence to you have? - Selling the stadium for pennies - What do you believe would have an acceptable amount to get and how do you get to it? - Firing a two time conference champion - What evidence do you have that Coach Wash was fired?

I’ve provided examples of your first two adnosium -A&T has the most inequitable game day in all of sports - the game zone is the #1 culprit and it stunted growth. Which is why he had paramount success and really no significant increase in revenue or attendance .. anyone w eyes can see it. Y’all bout to find out in the worst way possible what that game zone is going to do w a losing record. As much as you want it to happen - people don’t care about football like you want them to. The culture is not yours to sell or regulate. We made a conscience decision to price people out the stadium and then said you can’t come to the party either. It’s a ghost town in the tailgate area it gets worse every year and it’s going to get even worse since you’ve regulated everything to a very specific audience. Old alumni w $ that love Aggie Football. Good luck w that recipe.
We should have gotten more than the sally league baseball team in high point instead we got significantly less. probably one of the most embarrassing deals I’ve ever seen 💯
I don’t have evidence of firing of coach Washington. But I do have common sense. If someone leaves on their own terms it doesn’t look like that. They make a statement praising the institution and the administration does the same thing. None of that happened. It was an abrupt end and that in my world means firing. Coach Washington might not have liked the direction but he’s a competitor that’s far different from quitting.

We fired a coach that lost to every school that had a winning record in 2022. Fired a coach that had a single season APR of 902. Fired a coach whose players tried to break in the opposing locker room to fight after a game. Fired a coach that only beat 2 schools with winning records over a 2 year period.

Free loaders are your potential ticket buyers it doesn’t take a genius to figure that out ..and freeloading is a misnomer - what you mean is people who have been invited and eating someone else’s food and drinking someone else’s drink. That is not free loading - it’s not like the university is handing out free food and people come in and grab it. The whole term is incorrect and ridiculous - I don’t expect people on this board to understand long term marketing but I do expect people that make 6 figures that got advance degree in marketing to understand it. It’s been a miserable failure . But glad you got plenty of room to enjoy yourself. You’ll have even more room shortly.
stadium same scenarios - I don’t expect people on this board to understand why that was a horrible deal but I do expect people who make 6 figures and advance degree to understand advertising metrics 101. Hell for a measly 150k a year - the band could had a donut sale and got more. Could be BGMM stadium. It’s so embarrassing I hate to even bring it up.
Im not saying that coach Washington was the best coach in the world but the timing is horrible .. especially w everything on the line . He was not a horrible coach. The teams he lost to its hard to do an apples to apples comparison because the disparity was so bad. Love to see what he could have done w the same resources as Kennesaw st Gardner Webb and Monmouth etc.. all he got was a slap of paint and we called it good.

It has actually accomplished the goal of decreasing foot traffic, increasing security and revenue. They are free loaders because the University has to provide increased security and pay additional cost to cleanup after people that gave the university zero dollars. I would expect someone that understands second, third and fourth order effects to know that.

The Gardner - Webb football program paid out $3,295,756 in expenses while making $3,295,756 in total revenue. So, the program broke even. It’s unfortunate that it didn’t make any money, but, then again, it didn’t lose any money either. www.collegefactual.com/colleges/gardner-webb-university/student-life/sports/#footballwww.collegefactual.com/colleges/north-carolina-a-and-t-state-university/student-life/sports/In terms of financials, the NC A&T football program paid out $3,493,647 in expenses and made $3,467,102 in total revenue. That’s not such good news since it means the program lost money to the tune of $-26,545.

Lol it did accomplish the goal of reducing foot traffic. It is literally unfathomable that’s even a stated goal when you are trying to fill a 22k seat stadium. But you are correct goal was met.
“We got too many people” said no one ever
