He played really well at Duke. Have not seen him since in a significant role. Our coaching staff has no imagination or element of surprises. We are just plain old bland. We need some "umph" and imagination from our dull coaching staff. Don't expect it now or next year. That is why a change is needed with this staff "this year"!! If Washington and staff do not turn this thing around there may not be a next season. But hopefully he will get another season .

If he turns it around, I still think they need to make a change.

I dont think there was any player in recent history who was under-utilized as much as Ifedi.
I hope our coaches take a step back and learn from this experience. Never found a way to maximize his skill set.
We left a lot of meat on that bone.

Based on where he is with his throwing mechanics (which happens to be the exact same place he was when I first watched his film), I dont think there is enough time to make him a proficient pocket quarterback. But that is OK. There have been plenty of Nebraska teams who have won National Championships with quarterbacks who throw worse than Ifedi. He can be serviceable throwing the ball between 5 and 20 yards. There are plenty of easy throws you can scheme for him, where the worst thing that could happen is that the ball falls incomplete. But the central point here is that you have got to find a way to utilize his athletic talents. I wouldn't allow his quarterback passing rating to affect his ability to get on the field in some capacity. Man ...
