Charleston Southern seats 3,000....idk about track/grass seating.....if thats even a thing there. From what I've heard, the students don't usually show up for their home games but if the word gets out that we are bringing our band, I expect the place to be packed. If I can find a seat for my wife, I'm okay standing up for the game. This is going to be lots of fun!

Huge props to the Charleston Metro Aggies for setting this up.....I wasn't trying to roll down to South Carolina until Saturday morning, but I might have to make a few changes now

That's my birthday weekend also. If I'm not in LA, I will definitely try to make it to Charleston.

Well, 2 down 9 to go. This was a tough one because I felt like crap Saturday morning. But I got up, pushed steel & iron down the highway. Parking was free, shuttle to the stadium (well near). I couldn't find the AAF tailgate spot. I actually didn't look to hard, I just wanted to sit down, so I sat in the sun an hour before kick-off. But Lemonade great!
Dropped by Kickback Jack's. My taste buds must have been very sensitive or that was the worst hamburger ever. durhamgsoaggie was there, but soon left. VA's Finest, trues and myself closed the place down.
I have nothing insightful to add about the game that hasn't been discussed in other threads. Plus it's on to Charleston Southern. I'm at the mercy of airline this week, flying out Saturday morning. Who's tailgating, and more importantly how the H3LL will I find you? The CSU AD says $5 parking is across from the stadium on the grass field.
Early forecast for Saturday: Scattered thunderstorms, High near 85F, Winds ENE at 10 to 20 mph, Chance of rain 40%.

3 down 8 to go. Up at 5am Saturday (JetBlue down), not to bed before 1am, up at 5am Sunday (American back), back home by 10am. Off to the (adopted) Godparents 60th Wedding Anniversary Celebration. I was beat down by 8pm, but it was worth every minute.
Bertha's Kitchen is a definite for the hit list when in Charleston. When I pulled up little before noon, it looked like it was closed, and I don't for Saturday. The website said they didn't open until noon so I waited. At noon the line started form. About 12:10 they open the door. About 12:30 I eating fried chicken. About 1:00 I eating fried shrimp and fish. I think I like the fish better, about 2:00 I left. I sat there with a local I met in line talking about almost everything, good food, good times.
I checked out the Charleston Metro Alums Tailgate, great spread. Ran into Thrilla, Gator, captaggie, babynupe there. Ran into christy's mom and dad at the game I forget their BDV handles, but I did just remember Christy and her dad have the same birthday, so happy belated birthday to you two.
I sat with 'Thrilla and VA's Finest at the game, don't ask 'Thrilla to save your seat, but ask him who was A&T's DLine coach in 1988 and he remembers. If you heard the fans yelling "take a knee", that wasn't the fans, just 'Thrilla. Closed the day out at Buffalo Wild Wings with 'Thrilla and VA's Finest. Except for the disappointing first half of Aggie Football and the little rain shower early on, not a bad trip.
Just Win Baby!!!

If my memory serves me correctly, BT, you are 4 for 4 this season on game attendance, you might as well come up to the 757 next week and make 5 for 5. Shoot your almost halfway to an "undefeated" (game attendance) season. Lol

4 down and 7 to go. On to Norfolk. This is generally an over nighter, because my brother lives in the area. Another wifey/daughter event is scheduled for Sunday at 1pm. Can't risk a bad Sunday traffic day.

5 down and 6 to go. Ran into VA's Finest as expected. Didn't see 90Aggie.
Pre-game meal at the Warrior's Grill (Mongolian BBQ). Been to plenty Mongolian BBQ places before, never been to an "all you can eat" Mongolian BBQ. $10 for fresh cooked stir-fry included soup and a drink and you pick he amount of meat. At most Mongolian BBQ places you pack the noodles and veggies in the bowl and tell them what meat you want. I might drive back today for dinner. Post-game meal at the Shrimp Shack, would recommend it also.
I hate we have a week off, but after dragging NSU up and down the field all day maybe a rest is in order.

I was in no man's land - to the far left of where most of the Aggie faithful were sitting. I saw a couple of our AAF members at the end of the game.
