I cannot be the only one who sees the subpar play calling that weve done EVERY game this season. I for one am Not happy and something has to change, and i mean yesterday!

You were not happy with the halftime adjustments against ECU and Gardner-Webb and the win over Jacksonville State?
Are you upset about the overall offensive system ... or just that the plays are not working?
Please elaborate.

I miss him and so does Coach Washington! He's going to have to do what Coach Broadway did ever season, replace his offense coordinator until he finds the right one.
I thought we would struggle but I assumed our experiened players would be able to survive the change. Well they didn't survive!

It was Coach Washington's decision not to hire an experienced coach to join this staff when Hester left.

All the Aggies have to do is do what Morgan did against them ( establish the run). Right now they are a little pass happy

It is hard to establish the run when the opposing team has 8 men in the box all game and are daring you to throw deep.

What would Hester have done differently last night?

What would Hester have done differently last night? Probably called more screen passes to the RB out of the backfield. For some reason, we didn't go to that. Also, Hester had a knack for dialing up some quick throws and designed runs for Raynard to get him comfortable early. At this point, I definitely think Hester calls a better overall game than Barnette does. But of course, this is still Hester's offense so I am not surprised by that.

Those quick screens/throws have been missing all year for some reason. If Barnette has a system he'd rather run he's either going to have to implement it or go back to what makes his current players comfortable. 1/4 of the season is over and we're playing the mirror image of the team we just lost to in four days.
I don't get the title of the thread really. It ain't like he was chased off to my knowledge. Hester left of his own accord. Did we not do all we could have to keep him? Let those with insight speaketh on it.

I cannot be the only one who sees the subpar play calling that weve done EVERY game this season. I for one am Not happy and something has to change, and i mean yesterday! Where was all of this Not Happyness the first few games ? Look we got our hat handed to us by a team that even Coach Washington said was the " best 0 win tesm" that he had seen . That statement truned out to be fact . I knew this was coming and I called it a trap game or close to a trap game . Now we start the blame game . Get real some of you MSU played a hell of a game as they have been playing all year the only difference is that they lost the first two games ..lol. We can make excuses all we want Morgan was just a better team on that day . They ran the ball at will and controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball , NO TEAM CAN WIN IF THEY CAN NOT CONTROL THE TRENCHES ON EITHER SIDE OF THE BALL that is and age old proven fact that has nothing to do with the play calling it has to do with the execution in application of the plays . So get off the OC's back ok. This game was and eye opener and learning moment for the team period . Maybe now they can get back to Aggie Ball and play with a purpose instead of believing the , in the words of Chuck D and Flavor Flav don't believe the hype .

Morgan was able to run the ball and the Aggies stack the box, it can be done. Morgan coach said before the game that's what they were going to do (run first offense). The Aggies are a pass first offense but they also have a stable of good running backs, used them establish the run!

What I saw was this 1. we abandoned the run too early. 2 . The O and D line got man handled my MSU O and D lineman 3. Now one rapping up when making tackles . 4. O - line never obtained dominance in the trenches , 5. THE PLAYER UNDER ESTIMATED MSU . Now that is what I saw because we can not go by what happened last year with this OC this and OC that BS . We got CLOCKED LIVE WITH IT AND STOP MAKING EXCUSES AND MOVE ON ! We have a short week and SCSU is next up .

So you have a lineup that features Elijah Bell, Zach Leslie, Ron Hunt and Malik Wilson and you dont think we should try to get the ball to those weapons?
Did you watch this team in the spring and summer?
We are a pass oriented team because we had the 2017 MEAC Player of the Year at quarterback and a bunch of tall, athletic receivers.
Right now the offense is struggling because the QB is not performing well. But once we get that fixed, the offense can and will be unstoppable.

Morgan's d baited us a lot and they had good corners. They'd put dudes in the box and back off at the last second. The strategy (along with lack of execution) reaaallly hurt our qbs.

With the exception of not throwing some running back screens the above is it in a nut shell. Barnette called enough for us to win easly but it was not executed. Carter probably should hit the field a lot earlier.......the starting QB pretty much been in a rut all season
