For me, at this point in our season, the answer to the question poised by this thread is 'yes'...

The issue is not Hester but a few players that are missed, Caple, Scott,Gardin and Mr.SEC.These players has a Big Impact on are team going 12 and 0. Coaching can go so far players must Play. The lack fire on Sat, falls back on them. RAYNARD must lead this Team.

We are missing some players off of last year's team that would have made some difference but Morgan's defensive line was tough. In the first two games out O line held its own but the Morgan line controlled the line of scrimmage.

So you have a lineup that features Elijah Bell, Zach Leslie, Ron Hunt and Malik Wilson and you dont think we should try to get the ball to those weapons? Did you watch this team in the spring and summer? We are a pass oriented team because we had the 2017 MEAC Player of the Year at quarterback and a bunch of tall, athletic receivers. Right now the offense is struggling because the QB is not performing well. But once we get that fixed, the offense can and will be unstoppable. With the exception of not throwing some running back screens the above is it in a nut shell. Barnette called enough for us to win easly but it was not executed. Carter probably should hit the field a lot earlier.......the starting QB pretty much been in a rut all season Pink Elephant in the room

Sure I miss Hester, but the present OC needs to get into the game and do his job. IT'S A BUSINESS; do your job or say "goodbye"!!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this is a healthy loss, if there is such a thing. We missed so many tackles when we hit the runningback in the backfield and didn't wrap up and wound up not getting off the field. That is correctable...I think the players understand that teams aren't gonna roll over and play dead while they just kick their azzes. So, an extremely important lesson should have been learned. That's all I'll say for now.
Although, I will say, I'm wondering where Raynard's head is at. I'm not overly concerned, for a qb to go undefeated as a starter and not be at Alabama or North Dakota State was a huge weight to carry. Hopefully now that weight is lifted, he can relax and play loose. He seem uptight and late with his throws. He just has to play and stop thinking about it so much. Go Aggies!

Raynard game is when the ball is out of his hands in three to five seconds.Look at the TD to Hill Sat...The Honey Moon is over no more Parades,no more T.V. Spots,no more Trips to Raleigh.Lets get back to it.

In the postgame press conference, Washington basically said he told Barnette (and I'm paraphrasing here) to stop being cute and run the damn ball.

yeah, we had become too "pass happy" in our last couple of games. the "big uglies" had rather run block than pass block because they'd rather "attack forward" for the run than "retreat backwards" for the pass. i'm sure the "big uglies" enjoyed the 2nd half of last night's game...

I thought I saw a lot of passes being thrown last night. Maybe the coach also told the players in no uncertain terms that he is in charge. Maybe the offensive line coach was told to get that offensive line straightened out, and tell them to start performing like college football players.

From what I observed, we also began to run and complete passes to actual routes (slant, skinny post, etc), not just throw the ball outside the numbers and have bell or leslie debo the corner for the reception. We have been throwing way too many 50/50 balls, need to continue working the route tree (make the DB actually have to work and guess where you may going)
Big assist goes to the successful running game for opening up those routes also.
Game ball definitely goes to Mr. Cartwright. One thing for sure with that kid, he brings it every single down, every single game
