Jim Crow got some of yall shook. I can dig it ... but man, this is 2018. Haven't yall ever watched the CW sitcom "Hart of Dixie"? Lavon Hayes was the mayor for crying out loud. But seriously, if yall dont feel comfortable traveling to the state capital of Alabama and the home city of another large HBCU, then I dont know what to tell you. Agree, i already got my hotel reservations at the Embassy Suites in Montgomery....I will be there!

No it's not a sure thing. We are still in negotiations with ESPN so it might be a while.

Another good thing is this game could possibly expand our footprint to area of the country we are not traditionally strong.

Not scared or uncomfortable...just choose to spend my money in places that are a little less "redneck." In my consulting business I had a major client based in Birmingham and for several years I had to travel to lots of cities in Alabama. I got a good view during that time of the "enlightened Alabama" and I choose not to spend my dollars there now. It's too soon for me to forgive or forget the great state of Alabama! But I'll watch that game on TV and hope we show them rednecks and red birds how we roll.

I for one hope “might be a while” is like never. Do you all think that Hampton is holding up the schedules for all of the MEAC schools? FAMU is on record as saying that their game vs. Hampton is in flux pending the Pirates decision whether or not to play a full MEAC slate in 2018. If they do not play a full MEAC schedule, the conference could require the rest of the league to play 9 conference games which would put our FCS Kickoff Classic participation in jeopardy. I'm not trying to start a rumor but just wanted to gauge your thought(s).

Drop 20-25 minutes south or southwest of Greensboro.......you'll be in Davidson and Randolph Counties, respectively. These are NEIGHBORING COUNTIES of Guilford County. Davidson and Randolph Counties = "redneck" Alabama I don't believe in throwing shade (despite its history) at a state when the same pattern of behavior I worry about is at my doorstep.

- If we play Jacksonville State, I'll be there;
- I, too, hope that we have someone else lined up in-case this ESPN Kickoff Classic doesn't work out for us;
- FAMU has confirmed that they will not be playing Hampton at all this season. They will play either South Carolina State or DelState instead. The bigger question is whether or not it will be an official conference game. The Pirates and Dr. Harvey has really screwed things up for everyone by agreeing to submit to the Big South Conference's demands;

So, the question is, will A&T avenge the two losses to Jacksonville State???
