Looks and sounds like the DA's office may be leaning toward offering him a deferred prosecution which would give him a chance to have the charges dismissed after a structured probationary period and have his record expunged afterwards. From what I hear, he's not a bad kid but he's got to leave the homies behind. We'll see over the next several months if he can.

The school will use caution here. I don't see him playing this year. You can surely bet, if he gets through this and gets a chance to play, he will be a model citizen. Such a tough life lesson!

He needs to sit out a year and prove he can stay out of trouble and get good grades.

How yo name gone be Wizdom and you do dum isht?
Seriously though, he needs to like NEVER go home expect when he has to for court and he needs to NEVER meet anybody like his homies in Greensboro to become his new buddies. Even if he was just on the corner with them boys and one of them had some dust in his pocket (as was probably the case) he needs to just move on.

Most likely he will not play because he has to wear and electronic monitor ankle or arm . Once on they can not be removed ! A&T must decide if they are going to pay the fees to have it removed for practice and then reconnected after ! Runs about 200 each time . I don't think that dude is that good to be worth that money for a hold season !!

Saabman if that was to be funny I don't see the humor.we are talking about a young man future not a football game In my opinion one of the goals of HBCU is to give young people a opportunity that they may not find Let the Coaches and the administration handle this and if they see fit to continue with this your man let's give him the love and support we give all our players. And for all the AGGIES in this room who think they are better than this young man remember the only difference is he got caught. Just keeping it real and happy Father's Day and remember that may be what's missing in this young man life I am personally pulling for him because we always talk about family now it's time for family love and sometimes it hard love And 4 or 5 years from now come senior day if he doesn't have any one to stand beside him I proudly will Because that what AGGIE Do but if he do anything like this again I be the first to kick his butt out AGGIE PRIDE

On a side note, I remember Wheaton High School had a white kid that was heavily recruited by Notre Dame and NC State and he played in high school games in Montgomery County with a device on his leg. Maybe he can practice this year and redshirt.

He is not being funny, the article stated he must wear an electronic monitoring device. The $200 is the cost to take the device off and put back on each time. Most likely he will not play because he has to wear and electronic monitor ankle or arm . Once on they can not be removed ! Look I happen to have had hands experience with players that were placed on monitoring devices, and yes they can practice and even play on monitor but they will have to sign a waiver in case of injury also if the monitor is damaged in any way you're looking at $4,000 to get a replacement I don't see anything humorous about that ! but thank you for your concern.

Saabman please accept my apology I didn't know that to me a fact a sad fact All I am saying is that we are losing to many young men and if it's possible to save on let's keep a open mind And if it comes to that $200 a game to save a young man life to me is a good investment AGGIE PRIDE

With the new rules on red shirts , he could practice and play in up to 4 games if he earns the chance . He would have to hit the books and keep his nose clean , and stay in Greensboro for summer school .Keep him active and involved and he could turn this around .

It's all Gravy Aggies704 ! He will not be the first nor the last that will need our help . But this young man had people that cared about him and somewhere he has to take and except the actions that he placed upon his self . It could be and I hope it is that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time but if you know that your friends are doing something that could possibly turn you life upside down have the common sense to walk away ! And yes we all make mistakes knowingly or unknowingly but with Gods help he may just walk away with and understanding that he could have thrown his life away just that quick !!!

I can't imagine the embarrassment and stigma he will endure on campus you can't hide that monitor in skinny jeans, then again they may see it as street credits.
