How much eligibility does he have left? Seems like he comes straight from the Marquell Cartwright assembly line of power backs.
Not sure how elusive he is, but dude is not afraid of blasting through the A gap.

Although he seems similar to Cartwright with the attitude to run people over. This kid Martin has the size to do it. Marquell is a good back, but sometimes he tries to run over everybody and he gets stuck at the line. Martin is a true 3rd down or goaline back. He reminds me of LaGarrette Blount in stature.
You can never have enough quality backs. Good pickup!

Not sure how elusive he is, but dude is not afraid of blasting through the A gap. I read that he was going to be a sophomore this past season before he was arrested over the summer, so he should have 3 years left. Therefore since CCU is FBS that should make him eligible immediately I would assume.

Reads like a kid that needed to get away from home. Hope he keeps his a$$ out of trouble in Greensboro.
Seems like he could play offense or defense actually. Our coaches will know exactly where and how to plug him in.

Martin will have 3 years of eligibility available to him at A&T since Coastal is a FBS program. Looking into his run-in with authorities, it appears to be a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was a passenger in a car that was stopped by the local police with four other individuals. The car had a couple of stolen firearms and all five persons where charged when no one claimed ownership. A subsequent investigation by detectives later cleared Martin of all charges and they were dismissed by the DA but he was expelled because of CCU's no tolerance student conduct policy. He spent this past semester at Horry-Georgetown Technical College. He will be immediately eligible and will participate in spring practice. Complete details below: From the Myrtle Beach newspaper- Gun charges dismissed, former CCU RB Martin explains arrest, seeks second chance BY ALAN BLONDIN
UPDATED OCTOBER 17, 2017 09:58 PM
Jah-Maine Martin begins classes at Horry-Georgetown Technical College on Wednesday. That’s the first step in the renewal of his pursuit of a college degree and place on a college football team. The former Conway High and Coastal Carolina University running back has had gun possession charges from the summer dismissed, but he said he has been expelled from Coastal Carolina and is now looking to find a school and football program that will give him another chance. “It’s very disappointing. I feel I let a lot of people down,” Martin said. “I want everybody to know it’s not over. … I still work out every day, I’m still eating right, I’m still doing everything I’ve got to do because when I get my shot I’m going to take full advantage of it. He's not strictly a between the tackles guy although that's how Coastal used him in film from the previous post. Here is his Hudl highlights from his 2016 senior year at Conway HS. www.hudl.com/profile/3958476/jah-maine-martin

All Jah-Maine Martin wanted was a second chance. Only a few days before Christmas, it looks as if the former Conway standout got his wish. Via Twitter, Martin announced Thursday he plans to enroll at North Carolina A&T.“I can’t thank God enough for this opportunity,” he said. “About six months ago I was arrested and kicked out of school. In the interview he mentioned watching the celebration bowl and wanting to be a part of the culture and helping her to more.
I tell you guys and gals this...the celebration Bowl was the right choice for the conference. The benefits are hand and fist better than the playoffs.
The meacfans discussion on the CB drives me nuts.

Aggie One, that's a great article... this kid knows that he's found the right place for a new start. This part of the article explains how he knows where he's going: “They’ve built a culture,” the former Conway standout said. “I’ve been up there a few times and just loved the atmosphere. Then I watched the Celebration Bowl, and definitely wanted to be a part of that. “Hopefully, I can help them make a few more trips (to the Celebration Bowl).” Read more here: www.myrtlebeachonline.com/sports/high-school/prep-football/article191120649.html#storylink=cpy

Good pick-up, reminds me of the current transfer from South Carolina. It's like we're just putting the right pieces in place. Sticking to the current formula!
