I hope you guys are joking about the Big South. I could get the appeal if the Big South were the equivalent of the OVC ( decent football and strong mid major basketball) but it does nothing for me. Kidding how? They are FCS.

That would be nice. My projection . So its looking like 5 or 6 home games next yr. Home : D2 Labor day, Elon , Morgan or SSU , HU, DSU, NCCU Away: Morgan or SSU , FAMU , SCSU , HIU , Garder-Webb ( maybe) 9/2 - Some D2 school 9/9 - @ Gardner Webb 9/16 - @ UNCC 9/23 - Elon 9/30 - @ Conf Play 10/7 - GHOE 10/14- 10/21- 10/28 11/4 11/11 11/18 - NCCU Elon isn't until 2018. So just plan for 5 home games. If the Gardner-Webb deal holds up, we'll have 6 home games in 2018. We won't have 12 games again until 2019. If Elon isn't till 18 , then someone else should be coming to Aggie Stadium. That list is only 10 without ELON Home : D2 Labor day, Morgan or SSU , HU, DSU, NCCU (5) Away: Morgan or SSU , FAMU , SCSU , HIU , Garder-Webb ( maybe) (5)

Kidding how? They are FCS. We need a winnable FCS game every year so we can win the tiebreaker , just in case of a tie for the MEAC title

Kidding how? They are FCS. I think he's talking about moving to the Big South rather than playing Big South teams as OOC. Two different topics. Charleston Southern and Kennesaw St. would be interesting matchups. Liberty wants no parts of us. Gardner-Webb did knock out CSU... but Boiling Springs isn't TOO far to go for a September game next year. I'm good with that.

Sam Rutigliano is gone, Bill Hayes is gone, Falwell is dead and gone, Liberty would play us so long as Coach Gill was ok with it. Frankly I don't see the need to play them with all the choices we have in-state.
If I'm scheduling (and I ain't) I'm scheduling somewhere the fan base would like to travel and where we can possibly impress a recruit or three. Charleston Southern (if we could win) and Kennesaw (don't know if we want to try to stop that style of offense) would be good choices from that standpoint.

To that point, G-W is right in-between that Charlotte-Salisbury area and the Upstate portion of SC where Buddy Pough has been out-recruiting us (i.e. Javon Hargrove/Jalen Simmons/De' Montrez Burroughs, etc). Combined with the Charlotte game as well in 2017... that's a great strategic place to start.

Two things though, we have to let people know we gone be there so they actually come, and we have to send the band so more people actually come.
