You guys are crazy. Quick is the best A&T quarterback we've had since Maynor and its not even close. He had an off game today but with him, Keyes and Cohen all coming back next season we will be the unanimous pick to win the conference in 2015. I agree that Quick is the best QB since Maynor...which shows you how bad our offense has been for almost two decades. And that said, let's hope he gets better next year. We have an awful track record when it comes to QBs

SMH @ some of you all but can't say I'm shocked or surprised.
I'll say this while I HATE the outcome of this game I want to take the time to say THANK YOU and tip my hat off to those seniors who stuck around this program through the very very very rough times when they could have easily jumped ship a long time ago. They are the ones I REALLY feel bad for right now as this was a moment that would have made it all the much better to go out as the lone conference champion without having to share the title. At the end of the day this team and program in spite of what some might think is still a work in progress and each scenario presents itself with a different teaching moment that none on this team have experienced before at this level. It's easy to sit on the sideline and point out each and every fault and place blame but put yourself in their shoes for a second and think how they are feeling right now.
In other words SOME of you need to check yourselves because you're honestly coming off ridiculous as bleep right now. Sure Quick did some things that I didn't particularly care for today BUT I'm still on board and with him 100% as the leader of this team and look forward to him stepping behind center next year leading us a step further than we are today.

If he's the best QB we've had since Maynor, that reflects how piss poor the other QBs were vs how good Quick is. You cannot come up that small in a game this big...like I said before, your legacy is defined by what you do in "man-check" situations.
Hell, it's easy to look good when you're playing Tomato Can University week in and week out. But when the level of competition stepped up, QUICK DIDN'T. NEITHER DID OUR COACHING STAFF.
We beat a bunch of scrub teams this year.....we're an average 9-3 football program. Don't take my word for it - look at the teams we beat (horrific) and look at the teams we didn't beat (above-average/good). That equates to us being AVERAGE.
As far as 2015 is concerned, I believe: 1) The starting QB position needs to be fought for.....it should not automatically be Quick's job next year because he's a senior. 2) Broadway and Bustle need to go to some offensive coaching clinics together. They also need to honestly critique themselves. These guys just don't place a premium value on offense. We had a #1 offense vs Tomato Can Tech. We were a middle-of-the-road offense against legitimate competition.

If Cohen holds on to that ball, the scored is tied 21-21 and we probably go on to win in regulation.
Broadway and Bustle don't need to change nothing. They have assembled the most explosive offense in the history of A&T football and it will only get better next season. There has never been a time in our program's history where we have had this much team speed, this much balance and this many potential weapons.
We had a bad game to end the season. It hurts but it doesn't negate the unprecedented success our offense has achieved in 2014.

I understand that. Unfortunately if he doesn't improve in the off season we can expect the same results...he'll disappear in big games. As for the coaches, don't expect them to suddenly change their conservative offense. They've built long successful careers playing this style football so get use to it. Hey we have to be happy for getting off NCAA probation and playing better football than we did 10 years ago.

The most explosive offense in A&T history? vs SCSU - 0 points vs Central - 14 points You can be explosive vs Chowan, Savannah State, Howard, and FAMU When we played against the better teams on our schedule........WE WERE AN AVERAGE OFFENSE.

We put 45 points on the team that will represent the MEAC in the playoffs. We put 30 points on a Coastal Carolina team that was ranked No. 1 in the country heading into this weekend. Our sophomore running back just ran for 200 yards and 2 scores, and will probably be the MEAC rushing champion. Our sophomore wide receiver will likely be first team All-Conference next season.
And yet you want us to make wholesale changes to the offense because we only won nine games this year.
Gotcha.

This was an interesting article from the News and Record post on MEAC Fans Zone. I thought Earl's comments were pretty profound regarding the state of the football program. Somehow, I don't think his viewpoint changed because of today's events. ------------------------- GREENSBORO — Win or lose today, these Aggies have earned championship rings. N.C. A&T (9-2, 6-1 MEAC) plays old rival N.C. Central (6-5, 5-2) in the 86th Aggie-Eagle Classic at 2 p.m. at O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium in Durham. If A&T beats Central, then the Aggies win the MEAC title outright and earn the league’s automatic berth in the FCS playoffs. If the Aggies lose, they finish in a first-place tie. Either way, it’s a championship. Think about that for a moment. Let it sink in. Jewelry for a program that lost 27 games in a row from 2005 through 2007, a program that was 1-10 in 2010, a program saddled with NCAA penalties because of a woeful Academic Progress Rate performance. “It’s not a miracle,” A&T’s athletics director Earl Hilton said. “But it’s close.” The turnaround started when A&T hired coach Rod Broadway away from a championship-caliber team at Grambling. “I go to football practice a lot,” Hilton said. “I look around and soak it in. It’s staggering to consider the progress (Broadway), his coaching staff and our students have made. And to think it’s only been four years — just staggering.” www.news-record.com/sports/aggies-need-win-over-eagles-for-title/article_6dd51564-71eb-11e4-a11f-97df7854e440.html

"Wholesale changes"......your words, not mine. My words (not yours) ---- there needs to be a QB competition for the starting job next year. If Quick wins it - great. He shouldn't be automatically pencilled in as our starter next year.
K Qwick (vs CCU) - 12 of 32 106 yards - 0 TD, 2 INT K Qwick (vs NCCU) - 12 of 21 77 yards - 0 TD, 0 INT Even in the Savannah State game last week, Quick looked bad; 9 of 18 - 135 yds, 1 TD, 2 INT, 1 fumble
Trick plays on 3rd down (after a timeout) in the red zone - NO Running the Wildcat when you haven't done it all year against Central in the 4th qtr of the last game - NO (smelled of desperation)
We didn't value the ball today and on many other occasions this year. We're lucky to have #28 on our team. Cohen bailed us out of so many games this year, it was unbelievable. His pure greatness cannot be denied....but he covered up a lot of deficiencies this team has on the offensive side of the ball (remember the Elon game?).
There were just too many bad teams on our schedule this year for me to truly gauge if our offense was great. He have a great RB; we have a good (potentially great) WR.....but we're going to have to agree to disagree on us truly having a great offense.
When we needed our offense the most, it was nowhere to be found.........

Quick had a great season in his first year as a full-time starter in Bustle's system. He has improved tremendously in every single season he has been here. There is no reason to believe he won't continue to improve this off-season. He is the clear-cut leader of this team and a hard worker.
BTW: He scored the go-ahead touchdown against Coastal with a 30 yard run off the read option. But of course that little nugget doesn't jive with your stats.
He also threw 3 touchdowns on Homecoming against a team that took Bethune Cookman to overtime today. But I guess that wasn't a big game because we won it.
The program is in great hands with Broadway and Quick. They will both learn from this experience and return more determined in 2015.
This is the strongest our football program has been in school history. In the 100 some years we have played football at A&T we have never had a program with this much speed and youth.
I want Broadway to keep doing what he is doing.

Out coached? Did the coaches fumble the ball at the 1 yard line? Did the coaches miss a mid-range field goal? Did the coaches drop a bomb with 1:00 and some change to go to put the aggies in the red zone? You guys criticize all these plays but if they work you would be saying great call and he took chances....you say they are conservative then the same breath say how bad Quick is throwing...so you want them to pass the ball with a QB that you guys deem as terrible...i just don't get your argument... Number one offense in conference...

If A&T would have beat Central by 40 today and then got blown out in the first round of the playoffs, the same people would be making the same threads.
Only then it would be "Yeah, we beat NCCU and won the MEAC title last week, but who cares? Look at how Broadway and Quick choked against real competition. We need to blow this whole thing up and go back to the good ol' days when we were 0-27"
