We suffered through two lackluster football season with a suspect QB and it looks like we may have to suffer through two more with Quick. Guess we'll have to hope he gets better in the off season.
What a crappie way to end the season. Based on what I saw today we don't deserve to be in playoff. Maybe it's good we didn't win today and get killed in the playoffs.

While we made way to many mistakes one critical error was only rushing 3 down lineman.... gave Central QB all kinds of time late in the 4th we started rushing 4 and they got a few sacks or had signifigant pressure on him. In my opinion that was also critical factor causing us to loose the game. I didn't think we started going with 3-down until early in the 4th... we were getting gashed on outside WR screens. That was a counter move to get an extra DB in the game. They didn't score anymore, but we got the big sack from Angelo Keyes when we had 4-down linemen. That wasn't the biggest defensive problem, IMO. The real issue was the 208 rushing yards allowed on 42 carries, most of those with 4-down linemen in the game. They attacked the middle of the field a good bit and targeted Denzel Jones. Keyes was playing MLB some for Jones in the 1st half and looked pretty good while he was in. But he didn't play at MLB anymore after the miscommunication which caused the illegal substitution penalty to start the 3rd quarter. The holding, Jones getting caught in the wrong gaps/sucked in on play-action and lack of DE containment on Bell did us in. NCCU ran 42 times and had 21 passing attempts. They saw our weaknesses, game-planned it and executed better than we did. That's football. This was still a very good season for us at 9-3. We're making progress and trending up.

Hurts even more knowing that Coastal Carolina lost today. Any upsets will hurt the chances of an MEAC team getting an at-large bid. But looking at this, I still think that we have an outside shot: North Carolina Central (7-5, 6-2) 21, No. 24 North Carolina A&T (9-3, 6-2) 14 North Carolina A&T failed to clinch an outright Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference title and allowed Morgan State (7-5, 6-2) to earn the automatic playoff bid. The Bears beat Delaware State, 69-7, on Saturday. North Carolina Central quarterback Malcolm Bell had 195 total yards and both passed and rushed for a touchdown. A&T sophomore Tarik Cohen rushed for 203 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. LINK: www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=sportsnetwork&page=cfoot2/news/news.aspx?id=780649

GREAT season!!!!! We will only be stronger and better next year! Can't wait to see what the future holds. Sad about the loss today but still SO proud of all our boys!!!! (and call me crazy but I'm still hoping for playoff bid)...
Either way.... I'm still that #1 fan, screaming like a psycho woman in the stands for those Aggies!

I'm done with Quick as our starting QB. He is not a championship caliber QB. I also have to throw some shade at the OC. Some of the trick plays he was calling were ridiculous. His poor playcalling on first downs put us in the hole for many drives. When I look back on this season, we finished 9-3......but in all honesty, did we really beat anybody? Morgan may get the AQ, but they are an average team. This game left a bad taste in my mouth. In tough moments, you have to step up. That's what defines you as a coachz a player, and a collective team. Your legacy is defined by what you do when the spotlight is at its hottest and brightest. The spotlight was on us....and we wilted. There were plenty of holding calls that were not called....but ultimately, the Eagles looked better than us. It bothers me that when we really need a game, we never get it. We may be tied for 1st place, but we're still a 2nd place program.... I'm not done with Quick.... dude came a long way in his development this year. A couple of folks pointed out that he wasn't able to plant hard on his throws, which may explain his lack of accuracy. The WRs weren't getting great separation early either. NCCU has a good secondary, so that's a credit to them. His 4th quarter throw to Keyes inside the NCCU 10 was on the money.... Denzel HAS to make that catch. But Quick did not have his best day today, I agree. That hurts. I'm with you on Bustle today, though. Some of those play calls were head-scratchers, especially seeing that the passing game was struggling. The turning point was actually in the 1st quarter when we were up 7-0 and on 3rd down called the reverse pass to the QB. NCCU were well prepared for it, and they got a clean shot on Quick as a result.... and then we came away with no points after missing the FG. The jet sweep call on 3rd and 1 when you have Tarik Cohen and Marquell Cartwright at your disposal..... Bustle's been good for us, no doubt. Today wasn't his best day, either. Quick the Jr. QB wasn't able to step his level of play up in the biggest game of his first full season leading this team. Will Quick the Sr. QB be able to step his level of play up next season? That will depend on this offseason's work. I'm betting he will. And I'm betting that Bustle ends up doing a better job of calling games better to suit Quick's skillset as well. Hats off to NCCU. They were the better team today.

I think Quick had the jitters today! He didn't seem to be able to hook up with his prime receiver Denzel Keyes! One of the problems is.........................Keyes catches 3 TD's, 3 TD's, 3TD's homecoming...............he had none (ZERO) catches today. I know he dropped one but.....The TE (I've been saying ALL year how good he is.....the OC doesn't involve his TE's in the offense) Swann is sure handed AND he has decent (MEAC) size. He had 1 catch for 6 yds. today. In otherwords this is the breakdown: Lawrence 3 balls for 22yds., Cartwright 1 for 15 yds, Cohen 4 for 14 yds, Bullock 2 for 13 yds, Griffin 1 for 7 yds. Swan 1 for 6 yds. Quick 12/22 for 77 yds. = 6.4 yds. per reception Look at these figures very closely. Not very good I think!!! Quick is not the ONLY reason we lost today because all in all we got punked point blank. We could not handle our biz. We played scarrrrred all game except for a very limited few.

I was not at the game, but from everyone's postings here, it seems like we played a lot like Miami played against Florida State in the second half last week...PLAYING NOT TO LOSE. I don't think that we can put this one solely on the coaches.

You are correct the broadcast was horrible. They kept running these stupid viedo props and would not get back to live action in time so I missed the first part of several plays

You guys are crazy. Quick is the best A&T quarterback we've had since Maynor and its not even close. He had an off game today but with him, Keyes and Cohen all coming back next season we will be the unanimous pick to win the conference in 2015.

This wasn't the time to have a off game. I would like a consistent QB versus one that might have an off game when we need him.

Out coached and out played...man it was a bad day all around. Our team made way too many mistakes today but I think we also got out coached too.
Well we have about nine months to live with the embarrassment before next season starts! Hope next year will end better.
