While we made way to many mistakes one critical error was only rushing 3 down lineman.... gave Central QB all kinds of time late in the 4th we started rushing 4 and they got a few sacks or had signifigant pressure on him. In my opinion that was also critical factor causing us to loose the game.

I'm done with Quick as our starting QB. He is not a championship caliber QB. I also have to throw some shade at the OC. Some of the trick plays he was calling were ridiculous. His poor playcalling on first downs put us in the hole for many drives.
When I look back on this season, we finished 9-3......but in all honesty, did we really beat anybody? Morgan may get the AQ, but they are an average team. This game left a bad taste in my mouth. In tough moments, you have to step up. That's what defines you as a coachz a player, and a collective team. Your legacy is defined by what you do when the spotlight is at its hottest and brightest. The spotlight was on us....and we wilted.
There were plenty of holding calls that were not called....but ultimately, the Eagles looked better than us. It bothers me that when we really need a game, we never get it. We may be tied for 1st place, but we're still a 2nd place program....

This one HURT still in parking lot. However I refuse to bad mouth this team regardless of what happened today. Use this as a lesson and building block and come back next season on a mission.

I can see Morgan State getting the automatic qualifier. I don't know how the selection committtee will look at it but the way I'd do it is: Take all 4 and possibly 5 teams that finish with a share of the MEAC title (Us, Morgan, Central, SCSU, and Bethune) and see how many of their losses came against the other 4 or 5 teams. Example: Our 2 losses came against SCSU and Central therefore we're eliminated. Central's 2 losses came to Bethune and Morgan therefore they're eliminated. SCSU lost to Central and Morgan therefore they're eliminated. Morgan State's 2 losses came to us and Norfolk therefore they get a playoff spot. If Bethune holds on to win, their 2 losses will be against SCSU and Hampton so therefore they also get a playoff spot. Now how would I decide who gets the AQ for the conference? Morgan State's loss to a team outside of the teams tied for 1st was against Norfolk State, Bethune's was to Hampton. Norfolk State finished higher than Hampton in the conference therefore Morgan State gets the AQ, Bethune gets an At-Large and everyone else is screwed. Once again I don't know if that's how they're basing it but that's simply how I would do it.

I'm not going to say that about Quick, I know that's your opinion and I'm not going to say whether you're right or wrong, but what I will say is that I do question the play calling. I did not listen to the whole game as I was at work, but I did catch the 4th quarter. Looking at the stats, if Cohen had 203 yards on 20 carries, how come he didn't have 30-35 carries? Like I said, I didn't listen to the whole game but my first impression was that "he should have had more carries"

Quick should have had more completions than rushes! He played timid. The pressure of a championship being on the line must have gotten to him. Resulted back to his old ways!

Everything opened up for us to step through the door over these past few weeks. When you get all the breaks and everything is lined up for you to succeed... yet you fail....that's a glaring indictment on you. I don't believe in sugarcoating $h*t. You cannot lose a game like this and say everything is cool. If you look at these past few years, we wilt under pressure. There's nothing I've seen that tells me this is going to change. We're built to be a 2nd place program....

Like I said, I didn't listen to the whole game but my first impression was that "he should have had more carries" I do like Quick. My only quirks from this game is whenever passes weren't dropped, they were either over thrown or under thrown. Everybody already knew that NCCU was going to key in especially on our run game. We had a great season. Looking forward to seeing what immediate impact players we bring in on top of home grown high school recruits. Yes our defense had some let downs, but that's part of growing pains. Our secondary is young, but they did well this year. With another spring practice and preseason workouts they will be great. #AGGIEPRIDEREGARDLESS

I think Quick had the jitters today! He didn't seem to be able to hook up with his prime receiver Denzel Keyes!

Meh... A 9-3 record and conference s still a great year. We got beat due to our own mistakes but this playoff-type atmosphere is new for us. We are still learning how to win folks. That goes for the coaching staff too.

Bad day, but a good year. I'm looking forward to a strong recruiting class and a productive spring.
