I actually like the idea of the 100rd coming.
GHOE will sell out anyway BUT having the 100rd in attendance IMO will actually bring out a few more heads that under normal circumstances wouldn't have attended the game. That's more $$$$ in our pockets.
They're not what they use to be BUT they are still the 100rd, a BRAND, and believe it or not still have drawing power. Their base as many of you know are CRAZY about that band and we could actually tap into that. We already know our fans are going to be there sell this to the Mid Atlantic area Rattlers that their pride and joy will be in town and we might be onto something special.

Since Graduating in 2012 I have yet to miss a Homecoming. I will surely be in attendance at this years also..
SN: My Hillside High School Marching Hornets will finally be marching in a GHOE Parade also! They are led by Mr. Christopher J. Hayes, a BGMM and A&T Alum also

You are correct Aggie one, not only are they showing up for the game, they have notified us that they will march in the parade. Make no mistake, this is 100% a recruiting trip for the FAMU band and University. Despite the fact that they are not as big as they were before the hazing incident, they are still much larger than the BGMM and they have A very good sound. Like their football team, their band has one goals...spoil our Homecoming! Since we rocked the Honda battle of the bands earlier this year, we've had a target on our backs. I'm sure the BGMM will be ready.

Good marketing strategy in regards to fixing their brand by attending/participating in premiere homecoming events.

How will we make more money by FAMU attending? If anything,g the seats they take up will cost us money.

Good marketing strategy in regards to fixing their brand by attending/participating in premiere homecoming events. Top 3 Homecomings (Howard, FAMU, A&T) They are definitely on a tour.

That is EXACTLY what they are doing. It's NO coincidence that all of a sudden they decided they wanted to have the band traveling up and down the east coast to Howard AND A&T in the same season back to back weeks right before their Homecoming which falls right after ours. FAMU saw an opportunity and JUMPED right on top of it and can't say I'm mad at them at all for it. It's VERY SMART actually. These trips are business trips and they are trying to grab as many students as possible from the Mid Atlantic & Carolinas to come further their education down at FAMU. " FAMU president, Dr. Elmira Mangum, led a contingency of the leadership staff and team to canvas the area. Student recruitment was tantamount for the team. Mangum awarded nearly $400,000 in scholarships to some of the areas brightest students in mid-week encounters. Accompanied by Dr. William Hudson Jr., Vice President of Student Affairs, the leadership team went into the school system and recruited some of the best and brightest from the area." If I am not mistaken, the last time FAMU's band appeared in Aggie Stadium was when we played the Rattlers for the MEAC Championship. They appeared at the game to support their team and not for a farewell tour.
Actually, A&T to me out performed FAMU's band at that game. They had more bodies but we had the better band.

I believe that FAMU's President an NCCU Eagle? I like this about FAMU. Cast down your buckets FAMU and work the League. The people love the Band.

I went to Howard's homecoming game, the 100 did not perform to the home side. I do not think that will fly at Aggie Stadium.
