How many d1 coaches in the country share the OC & HC title ? Research that, and you will find that it is not common.. Its actually quite rare.. Schiano from Rutger, Les Miles, and Pete Carroll are among the very few. All of the afore mentioned have years of coordinator of head coaching experience. Read the link I placed a few threads back.

Jaffe, he is right about one thing that you may or may not agree with. The representatives of the school signed off on that contract and we either have to live by it, buy it out, or cross our fingers and hope he gets tired of our asses and resigns.
I think we have a cause of action for breach of the oc duties but as aggiechamp stated on page one of this thread, we pretty much have killed our own cause of action by letting him get away with not performing the oc duties for two years. I wouldn't go into court with that one.
I think we have a cause of action for his poor preparation of the team, but how do you prove it's poor? The results? They're really the luck of the draw. I can find 50 coaches that will say behind closed doors that he hasn't properly prepared the team but not a one that will say it under oath.
I think we can reassign him to something else in the school. Hell, I think we should reassign him, just as I thought we should have reassigned Coach Small. From what I"ve seen of Fobbs, he's a good dude. He's just a bad coach. We could use more good people on campus.

Im not saying he's a bad person or a man of poor character. I'm evaluating him as the football coach of NC A&T. Obviously his performance has breached some kind of contract and is not acceptable, because Dee Todd would have still been here. I know that we cant buy him out at this time, and maybe it is just my wishful thinking that he would resign, and we can wash our hands of this entrie era.
I agree with the fact that school representatives fumbled the ball on this particular contract, and that we are now living with the reprocussions. Fobbs has never once, not one game, not one quarter called the plays for this team. Even after losing 22 straight, did he not take over the play calling duties.
We should reassign him and put him in the basement of some old building like Central did to Phil Spence.

Yes you are. The majority of your complaints about him have been of the personal nature. Its obvious you have something against him that goes well beyond the win-loss column.

Okay, I'll give you that. I dont think that he has personally handled players and situations correctly when he first got here. Most of coaching is about building relationships and building trust among players. It would be one thing if he's lost 22 straight games and all of his players were still on his ship, but we all know that is not the case. Younger players saw last year how some of the veteran players and guys with seniority were treated, and they still remember that know. We had alot of young guys that played as freshman and sophomores last year that are not around this year b/c the way the staff handled and dealt with relationships. They came in with a holy, almighty attitude , and with a view that they would dominated the lowly MEAC. I dont care what anyone says, Spencer Spane, Quante Speight, Michael Haye, Lionell Brown, guys that still had eligiblity left.. etc would have helped the team a WHOLE lot this year.
Players only get 4-5 years to play the game. When Fobbs leaves Greensboro, Im sure that it will be business as usual for him back in Louisiana. Lavigne was no dummy. He jumped shipped before it could sink.
The fact that I dont think he handles personal situations and relationships the best has nothing to do witht the fact that he cant coach football. It just makes it all the more worse.

And we always forget about Marcus Hammond at QB. Many believed that he was the most talented qb on the roster last year and was one of the best athletes on the team. Would have definitley helped us this year.
