The way I see it this is a game we should win but you never know with rivalries. Here are my keys to the game:
*Kindle & the offense must play under control. No turnovers! *Don't kick to their returners on kick-offs. They're #2 in FCS *Don't give any easy punts for them to field. *Fresura may want to sprint out with the rugy stle kick on 4th downs to keep them off balance. *I would think twice before kicking field goals. They specialize in scoop & score on blocked field goals. Last year they blocked two of our field goal attempts and scored on one of em. Let's not make that same mistake again.
NCCU basically wins with the opponent turning the ball over and outstanding special teams play, kinda like we beat App. Typically their offense is only a threat if you give them a short field.

Run, run and run some more. Central is last in the conference in rushing defense (237 yards per game). Keep the ball on the ground and wear them down. Limit the potential of interceptions or sacks to lose field position.

Curious to see what the weather / wind conditions will be for this contest. High of 59 degrees with a 50% chance of rain Hopefully the forecast changes, because Friday is a high of 67 degrees with a 10% chance of rain.

Curious to see what the weather / wind conditions will be for this contest. when i last checked (2 days ago), they were calling for temperatures in the mid 50's with a 30% chance of rain. mid 50's is pretty comfortable for a 1pm kickoff if it doesn't rain. glad we're having a 1pm kickoff even though that means i have to leave my house around 7am in the morning...

I think we should take a hard look at our special team coach(es) at the end of this season and the overall philosophy of what we are trying to do on special teams.
We had a lot of missed opportunity with out special teams this year. Can't understand why we couldn't get more production from McCrae and Graham.

We had a lot of missed opportunity with out special teams this year. Can't understand why we couldn't get more production from McCrae and Graham. That's our problem. We don't have a special teams coach. Several coaches share those responsibilities. It would be nice to have a dedicated special teams coordinator.

Special teams will decide this game... NCCU has scored a special teams touchdown in FIVE consecutive games, unreal.
We have to be sound on teams.

The only thing that kept them in the game last year were the two blocked field goal returns.
Broadway can avoid that from happening again by being more aggressive on offense when his team has the ball on Central's side of the 50.

The Dirty Burgundy will be riding high this week. i agree. i think they’ll be extra motivated against us because broadway has beaten them 2 years in a row, so i expect them to be motivated by revenge. plus, if they beat us they’ll finish their season with a .500 record and above us in the meac standings. so yeah, they will be plenty motivated against us this weekend. their motivation is revenge, to finish with a .500 record, and to finish higher in the meac standings than us. our guys had better be ready...

(The Dirty Burgundy will be riding high this week. Lets knock them back down to Earth this Saturday) Yes, a friend suggested that the MBB win against NC State was worth at least 3 points in motivation for the football team............
