Blue Death Valley.com Administrator,
Kindly be advised that I am legal counsel for The Aggie Athletic Foundation of North Carolina A&T State University, Inc. (AAF). It has recently been brought to my attention that at least two (2) of the participants in your Fan Forum blog are using the legally protected logo of the AAF as their avatar (screen image) without the authorization of the AAF. The utilization of the AAF mark in this manner constitutes an impermissible use of the logo and infringes upon the rights of the AAF and North Carolina A&T State University. As you are probably aware, it is vitally important that AAF protect the imagery and commentary surrounding its marks and brand in order to maintain the value and reputation the organization has worked so hard to build. Accordingly, please allow this to serve as a formal request to direct your membership/users to immediately cease and desist any and all use of the AAF logo as their online avatar or in any other unauthorized fashion. Failure to adhere to this directive could result in swift legal action against all involved parties. On another note, please contact an AAF officer to discuss a formal arrangement for the display of the membership solicitation advertisement on your website. The AAF is grateful for your continued enthusiasm for Aggie athletics and hopes that you will assist in maintaining the brand of the organization. We recognize that success in this regard requires the collaboration of many, including BDV, but would like to encourage coordination with AAF on issues such as these. Confirmation of your receipt of this communication will be appreciated. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Charles K. Blackmon
