Why not let them make the own mark first. Its about Legacy, and the continuation.Whats going on the minds of these legacy kids standing on big shoulders? There is also a Dudley story here, McCain is in the league, our former center is in the league, I think it would be a good show. agreed, we should show the young hicks and young hooker some "extra" aggie luv! i mean, it ain't easy to convince star locals to stay home for college. so yeah, this is "extra" special to me cuz i luv "loyalty". both of these kids could've easily chose schools that are away from home... I saw that race Yesterday and did not realize who the kid was. I say lets offer him now for football and track. And while we are at it lets offer Alexander a football scolly at the same time. Lets get them both. One more to go? š

one hellava endorsement! and he makes excellent points. indeed i agree with him, jailen is "special". its up to our coaches to figure out the best way to use him, but 6'4" who runs a 4.3 forty with the dna of a former nfl running back could become a "big problem" for our opponents...

Query? Can he realistically perform at a high level in both sports, especially when you consider the measuring stick has changed significantly for track?

Or at safety. 6'4 safeties with speed and range that can handle the The Grind for the position at a high level . That's an NFL ticket waiting to be punched. Fast receivers are a dime a dozen, but big fast Safeties with length that can Clap š is a demanding talent at any level. We will see , wish him luck.

Spring football is less critical for that position. i don't see much of a conflict. i've always felt that football and running track are compatible assuming there's no lagging injuries from playing football. i mean, tarik didn't have any problems doing both and he was a rb. i just think coach brown and coach johnson need to sit down together and draw up a "plan" whereby hicks can participate in both sports. he'll probably have to skip indoor track but should be able to participate in outdoor track fully. i'm of the belief that running track will enhance his football career...

The key word in your post is "participate". There's absolutely no problem with "participation" in both sports. Tarik "participated" in track and "played" football.
