aggierattler, I didn't make that graphic. That joint was already on the front of meacsports.com.
Obviously, the conference cares more about promoting this game than we do right now.

Let's face it fellas, a lot of you guys on this website have better marketing insights and skills than the folks assigned that role at A&T. Our athletic marketing staff does an "okay" job but that was acceptable in the past. With social media and hand held devices, we need a marketing staff that is actively marketing the athletic program for the 21 century.
One day when Hilton is comfortable he's patched all the other big athletic problems he may get around to upgrading the marketing department and game announcers. I can't wait until that happens!

I wish that the student had some of those Big Heads' of Mayhew, Jesse, or Ron McNair or Someone! At least some posters for TV.

I email Earl ilton with the following text: "Mr. Hilton, I am an AAF donor and am quite disappointed that I haven't seen any promotion for Thursday's football game on www.ncataggies.com website. Please advise if this is currently being worked on or if there is other marketting that is currently taking place. With this being a televised home game, we need to do everything in our power to fill seats. Also is it possible to have everyone and the band sit on the away side so that it will give the image of a packed stadium on TV. Please advise." and I received the following reply: "Thanks for your email. We are engaged in a TV/Radio/Print media campaign for the Thursday night game. We will not attempt to reorient the stadium seating for the game, but we will ask ESPN to use the home side for any stadium shots they need. Thanks again for your support. Earl"

We've really got to put a small camera stand or three on the visitor's side.

Honestly guys, Do people tune in to ESPU to watch an HBCU game and expect to see a packed visitor side? Does it really effect the University recruiting or anything else? Sure it might get "man, that game looks a little empty", but is it worth moving the band and students so the stadium looks HALF full on the visitor side? If we want ESPN to shoot from the visitor side is it worth adding a camera platform and all the wiring needed just for ONE game a year(if that)?
I think the promotions have been fine. The radio stations in Greensboro have been pumping this for over a week. A&Ts Twitter and Facebook have also been repping the game in their feeds for over a week. The main website has had the promo shirts up since Weds on a banner at the top.
What else do you guys want? Do you even subscribe to the Twitter and Facebook feeds? Do you listen to the radio to even hear the radio ads? Some of you seem to be feeding off stuff other people say instead or checking for yourself.

Actually Monster, in regards to the camera stand and wiring, I got the idea from Youngstown State. They had a similar concern but worse, because they had no visitor's side whatsoever. They built a smaller visitor's side with camera stands to improve the visual on t.v.
Sure it's only one game this year, but there will be games in the future. If we added a huge press box for five to six games a year, why not a camera platform? Besides, most of the games will be online, so it's for much much more than one game a year.

That's why it was a question. Good answer. Online games barely show the seating though. They seem to film more" field only" action than ESPN does. Another question. Did ESPN use the stand or did they say "well, its nice you made a stand, but we only film from the home side"?

Got this email from A&T today:
---------------------------------------------------------
I hope you're having a great day. We're writing you this message to let you know there will be a watch party for A&T's football game on ESPNU Thursday. The Aggies will face Morgan State from Aggie Stadium at 7:30 p.m. If you live in Atlanta, you can watch with other Aggies at:
Paschal's Atlanta 180 Northside Dr SW Unit B Atlanta GA 30313
If you're in the Arlington, Va., area you can watch with your fellow Aggies at: Crystal City Sports Pub, 529 23rd Street, Arlington, VA.
We're hoping to add more locations. We're also hoping ESPN will have a satellite feed at one of the locations so we can show the nation Aggie Pride is worldwide.
I hope you can make it, but if you can't, still tune in to watch the Aggies tame the Bears.
Get Locked In!!

Has ESPN ever had a satellite feed for an HBCU viewing party? That would be pretty awesome.
