In defense of the school I did hear a free ticket promotion on 97.1 today. Free tickets? Can you elaborate? You know the 9th caller will get 2 free tickets to the A&T game Thursday night. Fantasia is singing, etc. |

I don't think students showing up will be much of an issue as it will be regular paying fans. I think the students will show up because it's something to do. Hopefully, the weather will be nice.

It will be nice when we get to the point where we can find a corporate sponsor to underwrite the cost of T-shirts for 5,000-10,000 fans and give them out free for TV games. The Morgan State gameday shirts are nice but I don't think a lot of people are going to be willing to pay $25 for one, especially when it costs $25 just to enter the stadium. I agree. I purchased three shirts for a ten dollar donation (each), at the UV game. |

We need to have some type of blurb about this game on the ncataggies.com home page by the end of business today.
Right now there is nothing on that site that makes you think anything important is happening on Thursday.

We can always approach a big non-profit like the United Way, YMCA or the Boys & Girls Club of Greensboro. |

this is what bothers me. i luv my alma mater and i donate to the aaf every year. but it bothers me that we don't do everything we can to help ourselves. i don't mind giving to those who are willing to help themselves. but there's no reason this game couldn't have been better promoted than it has been and we have no one to blame but ourselves.
the coaches and the team have done what they're suppose to do. we have a winning record and we put up a ton of points in our first 2 home games. now, all we need is a little promoting to take advantage of that momentum. there's no reason we shouldn't have "at least" 13k or 14k at thursday night's game. more fannies in the seats means more money in our pockets!
and, we also have a brand to sell. we're on national tv thursday night "for free" which gives us a free opportunity to show to the world that a&t has a great fanbase and that a&t is well supported by its students and the community. a whole bunch of empty seats does just the opposite.
sometimes, i really don't think we do enough to help ourselves. we've got a brand new athletics website. its not that hard to post a promotion of the game on the first page of our website...

Maybe the folks in the athletic department are really excited about Volleyball right now and they don't want to take any attention away from our 0-15 start.

According to ncataggies.com, there's not much going on around campus Thursday night ... but that A&T vs. NCCU showdown in Moore gym on Friday is gonna be epic.
