I think the only way we can be competitive with PV is to pass the ball effectively which I can't see happening. They love to run the ball and they love to stop the run. That's not good. I think PV will come into this game supremely over confident and have more than a few turnovers. Besides we usually seem to do ok against SWAC teams. A&T 21 PV 17 *No I haven't been drinking!

I don't think it looks good for the Aggie Dogs. We couldn't stop the draw against WSSU and I don't think we'll stop it that much in this game. PVAM's QB had over 100 yds rushing and passing last week.
If we continue to run the ball (and get Chancellor & Speedy more touches), we should be able to keep it close:

I think we will dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the football. Frenchers has the D-line looking better than I expected. Russell is a great tackler so I think we will be able to limit PV's QB from scrambling a lot against us. If we can just make some significant improvements to the secondary I envision us winning by at least two scores.

What I know about PV.
They have a very good o-line that goes two-deep. They have an experienced coaching staff. They have a qb that can run and throw effectively. They go three deep at most positions. They had a losing season last year but most games were within a touchdown. This is their best team in decades.
It won't happen for us this week. Their every positive exploits our every negative. This is probably the worst matchup we'll have all year. I hope I eat these words, but my head says:
We might get shut out and PV will go over 30 pernts on us.

It's true, our O-line goes 2.5 deep (easily). Our RBs are ~2 deep w/ exact same capabilities. Our WRs? Jury still out. Our D-line goes 2.5 deep. (easily) Our LB corps? 1st stringers are phenomenal and love to run-stop! Our DBs? Experienced and run pretty well. Our special teams play is turning out to be truly "special." Our punters and kickers are AWESOME! Just because you have an O-lineman or D-lineman who's 6-4" and weighs 300lbs plus doesn't mean that he'll move whomever is in front of him. We ACTUALLY have guys who are BIG and STRONG. Coach was sick and tired his first year of watching us being manhandled. We'll see how STRONG and QUICK A&T is Sat @ 5:30pm.

Doom has overstated what PV can do against us. PV most effective weapon is their QB who can run and he is the wildcard the Aggies' defense must contain.
Aggies can run on PV. The Aggies must be determined and persistant in running the ball. If they stick with this game plan along with preventing PV's QB from running all over the place the game will be close throughout.
The Aggies can win this game if they force PV to cough up the ball two or three times and the Aggies have no more than one turnover. This game must be a hard hitting one for the Aggies with the Aggies hitting PV's QB everytime he runs down the line. I think this is a game the Aggies can take if they get very physical with Prarie View.
If the Aggies use the game plan I mentioned they will win a close game.

I guess with Russell playing this game, he should make some difference. I think the "D" should be okay, but I'm not yet convinced with our "O". If Fobbs make the necessary adjustments with the "O", then I feel like it'll be a close one...in PV's favor. PV 20 - A&T 17 P.S. I sacrificed the Winston game so that I could attend this one. So I'll be there to witness it with my own eyes and won't have to listen to Mel and whathisface. At least, this time we can't complain about bad turf.

I don't know ajazz... PV wants the physical type game. It's the "finesse" game (passing 90+% of the time) that'll frustrate our defense.
We employ the same offensive and defensive philosophy that AAMU does. It's not flashy but it gets the job done. It'll be a low scoring affair. That's coaches' philosophy. Even during his Bowie coaching days. Low scoring offense w/ SOLID defense.
Good luck to the aggies.

Hope I'm wrong but unless our defense scores, this game will be very simular to the WSSU game.

We're not that dominating a75. lol My god, y'all act like we're the behemoth or something. lol We're climbing the rungs of respectability right about now. So, I guess you could say that we're sort of in the same boat, rebuilding.

Panther, A&T is not a passing team at this point in their development. The Aggies have an athlete at QB and he is learning to be a college QB. Coach Fobbs brought in two good running backs last spring to add to the young good runner already in the fold so the personnel is tailored more towards running the ball.
PVA&M had a total of 160 yards rushing last Saturday and their QB, Gibson, had 123 yards of that 160. PV only had one long drive with Gibson scoring on a 51 yard run. So it is a must that A&T contain Gibson. A&T must pop Gibson as many times behind the line of scrimmage as legally possible. It shouldn't matter if he is passing, running or handing the ball off. In addition, what better way of putting Gibson on ice than to have A&T eat up the clock running the ball on offense.

Miller is going to have to play smarter and get more comfortable leading his squad.
However, to relieve pressure we have got to establish a consistent running game. Here we go again. The OL and got to stick with there assignment and be able to block long enough to allow the backs to get up field. It just that simple.
Our defense have got to play well enough to not get push back when PV need short yardage.

For the hell of it and my Aggie Pride, I'll just say Fobbs will get his first win.
PLEASE GOD!
