Personally, I hope his return to the lineup allows our coaches to move one of the bigger linebackers (preferrably Hemphill) to the DE spot and use more 4-man fronts. Then maybe we can have Long serve as the spy for PV's QB.

We definitely need a spy for the QB. Hopefully Russell will also be able to help stuff any runs/qb draws up the middle.

Cant wait to see this guy play against Hampton. Everyone has been high on him. Then again, everyone was high on Miller the preseason also.

I still think Miller can be a good quarterback. His arm was actually better than I expected it to be against WSSU.
The main thing that is hurting him is that he does not have a seasoned QB coach to work with him on technique and to just help him gain a general understanding of the position. That has been my biggest fault with Fobbs since last season.
Nobody on this staff outside of Marshall Glen has a clue about how to coach quarterbacks.

HEY BOARD...! I AM SO UPSET THAT WE DID NOT WIN ON SAT. BUT "BIG ROB" WILL BE READY FOR PV. HE WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT BEING SIDELINED, BUT HE DID SAY THAT HE IS 100% READY FOR THE GAME IN CALI. I KNOW I HAVE PUT A LOT OF WORDS ABOUT HIM ON THE BOARD.. NOW IT'S TIME FOR HIM TO DO THE TALKING ON THE FIELD. THORTON WILL HAVE HELP FROM "BIG ROB", AND THE REST OF THE GUYS THAT PLAYED WELL IN SPURTS... IT WILL GET BETTER AND BETTER. I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT FANS WILL SEE WHY ROB PLAYED A LOT AT OLE MISS...

I just don't want him to get injured.
I think Herb will be fine. We just need to put him in better situations. Don't make him pass before the run is well established (kinda like, I dunno.... Winston did for Purvis).
I think the run d should improve if what I've heard about Uncle AJ's favorite nephew is true and I expect Herb to come through a lot better. Despite my prognostication of improved run d I think PV might actually get more rushing yards on us than Winston.
DOOMS, is you mad?
Naw, it's just that PV has a very good line. We'll be playing Winston again, this time with Texas boys. This time I don't think we'll see as many easy runs by the opposition and I expect to see us in position more often, but I think they can overwhelm us. Despite that I think we'll be pleased (except those of us who think PV still doesn't give scholarships).
