I was wondering should future A&T-WSSU games in Winston Salem move to Grove Stadium rather than Bowman Gray? I heard that the game was sold out . Just think when both A&T and WSSU are top dogs in the conference what that attendance would be. I know A&T can add temp seats in Aggie Stadium but I don't think WSSU can do it for Bowman Gray.

That is something WSSU would have to decide since its their home game.
However, let the Rams fans tell it, Bowman-Gray is better than the Taj Mahal.

It should have been at Groves this year. Perfect opportunity. Wake was on the road too. Bowman Gray is just not a comfortable facitlty to me. What do the rest of you think?

Yall can rest assured that Wake Forest will NOT allow that game to be played at Groves Stadium. Thats not even worth discussing on the board... That would certainly not be a decision for WINSTON to make. There will be no invasion of Groves for the I-40 Showdown. As for the condition of the field, Another reason the field looked so bad was that there were doughnut tire marks all on the infield from the races last weekend. You know the small timers want to do everything the big timers do so when they win.. they go to the infield and do doughnuts.. That leads me to believe that Winston will never be able to get a better playing surface because of the racing being held there and their renewed 15 year contract to continue racing there. sooo that rules out any artificial surface

Man, that'd be funny if it wasn't so sad.

The A&T-WSSU game has played in Grove Stadium in the past.
This blows my mind that in the middle of football season the city allow car racing in the stadium and especially allow vehicles on the playing surface. Either the city is giving WSSU the big finger or WSSU leaders are just plain hapless or both is the case.

Man, that'd be funny if it wasn't so sad. That's a lot of money sitting in the stands. Racing will stay.

Wait. I've never been down there but doesn't Cookman have the same stadium situation?
