every time central dumps the ball inside to sutton, we double down, they kick it out to wide open 3 point shooters...

As the game got bigger, one team got smaller - guess who it was? I looked over to folks after Eaves got that tech - Eagles made the FTs to take the lead. I told folks immediately we we weren't going to get the lead back....we didn't. Shortly thereafter, Witter got a tech. Central's players showed their composure, ran their sets, and pulled away from us.
The Aggies lost their composure big time....and it started with Eaves technical foul.
The players, the team, the coach, the program......WE SIMPLY ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I know a lot of people on this board get tired of me saying it over and over and over again.
All I'm asking for Aggies who really care about Aggie basketball is to sit down, take away personal feelings, and evaluate what we've seen over the past few years. We're going absolutely nowhere under Eaves.
The players played hard. The coach coached hard. Aggie Basketball simply isn't good enough. We'll never remotely come close to our past tradition if we keep everything as is. This ain't working Aggie Nation - this ain't working.......

Superstar, don't you know about Eaves' APR score? Don't you know that no one can negotiate a money game like Eaves? I personally like the status quo.

Several observations........As the game got tight in the second half we totally lost it and no one on the team showed any leadership.
There is a sharp contrast in the personalties of Moten (NCCU) and Eaves (A&T). Moten was totally involved in the game and stood on the sidelines and gave instructions probably 75-80% of the game. Eaves stood on the sidelines and gave instructions probably 15-20% of the game.
Eaves' substitution patterns are horrible. Marc Hill came out smoking and drove down and scored twice within the first 5 minutes of the game and Eaves pulled him (why??) after he made a nice penetration in the lane and he dished off to Powell for a lay up and seconds later he was pulled.
There were few set plays in the post area because we have no consistent scoring post presence. Basically it's a slash and burn offense with scoring coming from slashing and/or kicking out for the 3 pointer. That's it.
With as many people as Eaves plays off the bench and no inside presence Eaves should install a "40 minutes of hell " defense that creates turnovers and offense (points off of turnovers).
What is truly concerning is the loss of composure first by Eaves, then Witter and the team as a whole. It was like most had given up and if it weren't for mistakes by NCCU near the end of the game the margin would have been much wider than the final score.
Lastly, we are down by 8-10 pts near the final 1:30 left in the game and we didn't press full court or foul until we got inside 1:00 left in the game. Everybody in the stands was hollering "Why doesn't Eaves tell them to foul?" "Why aren't we pressing full court?"
You know what is sad?? "Mr..500 in MEAC" lose his title and be re-crowned as "Mr. less than .500 in MEAC"

oleschoolaggie : It's just a feeling that you get when players are rushing and not playing with composure. In a close game like this you have to take your time and set your shooters up. The players no who their best shooters are, just get them the ball how hard is that? Also I have seen most of the scores from the games that A&T has played and there is really no one in the MEAC that has blown us away. naborhoodsuperstar we all feel your pain and know that a changes must come. Like you we also know that it is up to the AD to pull the plug. All we can do is back the team as much as we can and hope that the powers that be do the right thing at the end of the season.
