So we got 3 WR's 6'3 or taller all hovering around 200 Lbs? I will be very interested in seeing this offense Coach Pizzo will be installing. I may not be surprised if we are running a balanced, pro style offense. If those WR's can step up along with Miles and Gould, we could possibly be scoring at least 24 pts a game.

Not a very impressive class so far. I'd rate this about a 4.5 on a ten point scale. Of course Broadway seems to do great with picking guys who can fit in his system and who will graduate. We don't need any more Rivals 3 star athlete's who'll never touch the field for us. I hope all these guys are good students and we have repaired our infrastructure to help them matriculate through college. that's why i stated considering our circumstances, we signed a decent class. actually, in light of our very late start, i wasn't expecting us to sign a 2011 recruiting class at all...

Academically these kids have all cut the mustard for all the entrance requirements, with several having 3.0 GPAs or better, which freed up some extra money and that was a prime directive from the administration and Broadway himself.
This is a mostly defensive class with a good mix of tall wide outs and a good sized tight end. It tells me where he thought we needed help the most after spring ball and just not in the defensive line alone.
Given Broadway did not get really started until March, its not a bad class at all. I see some very nice players that slipped through the cracks in this group at DB and at WR.

I hope that he does get some transfers or walk-ons to help with the DL. Any word on what the QB depth chart is looking like? It seems to be pretty thin right now.

to me, moving ricky lewis to wr compensates for the loss of buster cooper. he'll still probably see some very limited time at qb if they go the wildcat route. but i think he'll be a major threat catching the football...

Perhaps they listed the name of the player incorrectly. The problem is you can barely find any news on Kipp Gaston College Prep football program. It's a charter school in Gaston County.

I wouldn't put two cents on the Catawba listings. 62 freaking recruits? Those were preferred walk-on offers and we gave out money to the kid.
Grant never signed with Shaw and was waiting on either us, Del State, or NCCU to offer after the coaches that recruited him got busted for drugs and Broadway showed up here.

OK gents I have the info on the kid from Fl (Daryl shipman rb 5-9 170 deerfield, fl deerfield beach) 40-4.39 a good cover corner was and AlterNet on the Deerfield HS, 4x100-meter relay group that set a national track record. Now check this out Donte Dotson who was on the relay and his high school QB signed with Hampton. Hampton was trying to get Shipman to. Hampton is off the chain >http://meacswacsports.blogspot.com/2010/02/hampton.html) it's like a FBS WALMART OVER THEIR. CHECKOUT (http://meacswacsports.blogspot.com/)
Wildcats football vies for 3 of state's top 160 By BRENT WORONOFF, Staff writer send an email to brent.woronoff@news-jrnl.com July 13, 2011 12:05 AM Posted in:

Rivals' FlaVarsity.com recently released its top 160 football prospects for the class of 2012. While several of the recruits have already verbally committed to colleges, many others are mulling their choices and waiting for more offers.
Three players on the elite list -- Dondre Daley, Chris Murray and Elijah McClendon -- say Bethune-Cookman is among their top choices. The Wildcats and coach Brian Jenkins do not shy away from recruiting the top prospects in the state and have achieved several recruiting victories over bigger schools. But once a smaller school ventures into this stratosphere, the competition is pretty tough.
"If Bethune-Cookman gets two of the top 100 players in Florida, that's awesome," Sporting News recruiting reporter Brian McLaughlin said.
Before National Signing Day in February, the Wildcats may be in the hunt for more of the state's top prospects.
But here's a look at the three who have already put B-CU on their list and the Wildcats' chances of signing them:
Dondre Daley
FlaVarsity.com state ranking: 83rd
POSITION: Wide receiver
SCHOOL: Tarpon Springs
HEIGHT, WEIGHT: 6-foot-3, 175 pounds
IN THE MIX: Bethune-Cookman, N.C. State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, UCF, South Florida
THE BUZZ: Tom Loy of FlaVarsity.com raves about Daley's 4.4 speed (in the 40-yard dash) and spectacular vertical leap. He's also a polished receiver and a good return man, Loy said. So that brings to mind the obvious question? How the heck is he ranked only No. 83? "He's pretty under-the-radar right now," Loy says. "His film hasn't been seen by a lot of people."
B-CU'S CHANCES: Daley said his top choice is USF, but he likes B-CU, primarily because of incoming freshman quarterback Quentin Williams of Tampa Jefferson, last season's Florida Mr. Football award winner. Daley said he's had no offers yet but has talked to B-CU.
Chris Murray
FlaVarsity.com state ranking: 121st
POSITION: Wide receiver
SCHOOL: Tampa King
HEIGHT, WEIGHT: 5-9, 170
IN THE MIX: Bethune-Cookman, Georgia Southern, Iowa State, Kansas, Washington State
THE BUZZ: Loy says Murray is quick "like a waterbug" with tremendous hands and has no fear of going across the middle to make a catch. He doesn't have blazing speed -- probably 4.5 or 4.6, Loy says -- but has quick feet.
B-CU's CHANCES: This is the kind of kid Division I-AA schools love. He'll run through a wall for you and has great "football speed." His lack of height and average speed might turn off some BCS schools, but all the teams on his list are likely to take a chance on a kid like this if they think he can play. B-CU is in pretty good company here, but that could mean Murray has a lot of respect for the Wildcats.
Elijah McClendon
FlaVarsity.com state ranking: 160th
POSITION: Safety
SCHOOL: St. Petersburg Boca Ciega
HEIGHT, WEIGHT: 6-1, 195
IN THE MIX: Bethune-Cookman, Ball State, Florida International, Miami, Middle Tennessee State, Samford, Western Michigan
THE BUZZ: He's a heavy hitter with a ton of energy and athleticism and a big frame that could allow him to add enough weight to play linebacker, which could be scary because he has the athleticism to play either cornerback or safety, Loy says. "You can stick him anywhere and he'll make plays for you," says Loy. "He's going to get some pretty good offers by the end of his career."
B-CU's CHANCES: McClendon said B-CU and Middle Tennessee State are his top choices while he awaits firm offers from the other schools on his list. If B-CU has an edge it's because it's the school his mom wants him to attend. McClendon agrees there is a lot to like. "It has a nice family atmosphere," he said. "Coach Jenkins has done a great job. I like the new attitude there. He's got a vision. He wants to win a national championship." Now that's it A VISION.
