Update the top bleachers, make the surrounding rail a one piece glass rail., and add about four 65in video screens in there, but keep it the way it is. Aint no atmosphere in mid-major basketball like Corbett when its packed!

lol, I'm with you but:
I would like to see the scoreboard list all of the fouls at one time, or have the scorers table be electronic and show the fouls & the ads.
The trophy case should be upgraded and have a giant BDV Team photo of the current Men & Women.
The chicken finger snack bar (lower level) should be advertised more.

I was at the lower level and didn't know there was a snack bar  We have to have a new scoreboard. There was nothing to show the player fouls or the team timeouts remaining. Good job by the PA Announcer and the Quick Change Act. It was hard to get into the halftime show when you are down 22 |

Do yall realize how loud the building got in the final minute of regulation when the crowd was yelling "DEFENSE"?

The "Quick Change" act was great. For those that were not there it was a man and I assume his wife that did magic or you might call it illusory acts where she would change outfits behind curtains in a matter of 2 or 3 seconds. They even came out and did their act during time outs, that's how fast and quick she could change. It was a trip. The man wore a tuxedo and he also went behind a curtain and in a matter of about 2 or 3 seconds he went from wearing the tuxedo to wearing an A&T basketball uniform. It was very entertaining. The group of brother's that did the trampoline dunking act at half time of the men's game was also great entertainment. Overall, a great night, except for the loss.

I have seen "Quick Change" at Bobcats games. They have a change where he thows confetti in the air and her dress changes to match the colors by the time it hits the floor. Amazing. I enjoyed it. Corbett again showed why ESPN named us as one of the top places for atmosphere, that game should have been televised. We even started The Wave lol

i've got to agree, toppdogg. its the weirdest feeling i've ever had. i sat in the reserved section and i couldn't help but notice how all the alums were staring at the overflow crowd in corbett. i haven't seen corbett packed like that in a very long time...

We used them with the old Charlotte Hornets, and the Bobcats use them a lot, too. They are a husband-and-wife team who run the NBA and NHL circuit annually. I wanted to use them to open up FAMU's new arena last year, but they were already booked solidly. They ain't cheap...great choice by Billy Edringston! |

The atmosphere in Corbett appeared dull and sterile on national TV. There were plenty of spaces between people in the seats on the lower level. I thought ESPNU had turned down the crowd noise but that was not the case. The team is not sorry so that can’t be the reason for the sparse crowd.
Perhaps a new arena IS needed to help inject excitement back into our basketball program. A new arena and an attitude change among the students. We can't play Central for every game.

i hate to sound like a scratched record, but i think those early afternoon games sets the tone for all other games. i mean, when i was a student, basketball games was an "event". those early evening tipoffs on saturdays were perfect.
most of us would sleep in on saturdays after partying all night the night before. then we'd stroll into the caf around 4 or 5pm so we wouldn't miss that last meal. by the time you came out, it was time to get ready for the game and right after the game, it was time to go party again. the timing was ideal for students. but now the early afternoon games on weekends are just the opposite...
