AGGIES SIGN BIG-TIME SHOOTER Aggies have broken the school record for 3-pointers made three times under Eaves
GREENSBORO, December 13, 2010 – North Carolina A&T head men’s basketball coach Jerry Eaves has announced the singing of Jean Louisme.
Louisme is a 6-foot-4, 180-pound guard out of Fort Myers, Fla. He played his high school basketball at Fort Myers High School. Louisme has spent the past two seasons at Florida State College at Jacksonville (Fla.)
Last season, he averaged 19.9 points per game, while shooting 43 percent from 3-point range and 82 percent from the free throw line. The previous season, Louisme averaged 11.9 points, shot 79 percent from the line and 35 percent from the 3-point arc. Louisme made a school-record 122 3-pointers at Florida State College. He was a first-team All- Mid-Florida Conference performer over the last two seasons.
“He is a pure shooter,’’ said Eaves. “He can flat out put the ball in the basket. He is one of the best recruits I have ever recruited because he can hit the open shot when we need it.”

how could he sign during a non-signing period? did he mean he verbally committed? He probably signed him earlier but A&T just announced it today.

I like hearing news like this, especially coming off of a pre-season like we have had. It shows the maturity of the team overall and Eaves constantly observing what needs to be done.
His style is coaching the 3 and with the team doing so well now its like this guy could be the finishing touch. Regardless if we see him in January or if he has to wait it definitely sounds like we are contending to be a serious team this year and Jerry aint with resting on a few wins.

sounds like a juco pickup. will have to do a little research on him, but his stats are impressive nonetheless and eaves seems to believe he's one of his best ever recruits...

Yeah, he's a JUCO. Hopefully Eaves will pick up a JUCO post player as well.

Name sounds Haitian. A three shooter would be a nice addition, but I hope that he sticks to the "inside out" philosophy. That should help the pure shooters even more.
According to coach Eaves, he has always recruited the best player ever.............................

Is he fearless? It seems our JUCOs become timid once game time starts when they first get here. It seems to take them a whole season to get use to Division I play. He does have the stats and I think he is a needed pickup.
If he has spent two years in JUCO already does it means he will suit up for the spring semester?
