Just got this email:
Football Alumni, We have a unique opportunity for a meet and greet session before the Spring Game... All Football Alumni are invited to attend but we need a few key individuals to address the football team. You have the opportunity to speak to the team about your experiences, the program and anything related to A&T and the footoball program. This will take place @ 11:00 am in the new Field House meeting room before the Blue & Gold Game. The game begins @ 2:00pm. If you are interested in addressing the team and the staff, please contact me via email at footballfan27@gmail.com, limited spaces are available. One person has already signed on: 1. Reggie White 1989, 90, 91, 92 2XTime MEAC Champion and former NFL Player.
Football Alumni dont miss this opportuinty to meet and greet the current football team as they prepare for the 2007 Season.

This right here proves that antfan2003 doesn't knows what he's talking about when he said Fobbs doesn't want to do more with the Spring Game.
I just hope the athletic department is planning similar events that weekend for the regular fans.

Thrilla, seems to me as though it's all about the football alumni. Regular fans are not being notified about events nor the game. I'm thinking about playing golf on the 30th and I haven't heard any of the guys I see around the courses saying anything about the weekend of the spring football game or the golf tourney. Somebody's really dropping the ball on marketing man.

Correction Thrilla,
I NEVER said that Coach didnt want to do anything big for the spring game.. Correct yourself on that one... I said based on what ive seen... Dont expect a Texas A&M spring game weekend.. Period.. And ill say it again... dont expect that type of weekend.. My comment was that AMM cant go out and do stuff without approval and buy in. ..

If Fobbs would give the green light for all this alumni weekend stuff that is being scheduled, then why would anyone think he would veto a full day of fun events that would only result in getting the fans more excited about his program?
I haven't spoken to Keith since basketball season but I doubt very seriously he went up to Fobbs and said "I want to turn our Spring Game into a major event with game rosters for the fans, a halftime performance by the marching machine, interactive games for the little kids, a state of the program address in the alumni center with Dee Todd, and other cool stuff," and Fobbs was like "hell no. I want to make sure the game stays boring as humanly possible.
Remember, it was Fobbs who organized the whole Signing Day Party - which was a huge success.
If Keith presented such a plan to Fobbs two months ago, we wouldn't be having this discusson right now.
