By Jonnelle Davis Staff Writer GREENSBORO — N.C. A&T will increase its minimum admission standards in the fall of 2011 in preparation for more rigorous standards the UNC system plans to put in place. The university will require in-state students to have at least a 2.5 grade-point average and an 800 SAT score, the minimum that will be required for admission to any UNC school in the fall of 2013. Students with GPAs of 2.3 to 2.49 and SAT scores of 750 to 799 will be placed on a waiting list. The policy calls for a minimum 2.3 GPA, 750 SAT score and 16 ACT score for admission to UNC schools in fall 2011 and 2012. Those standards increase to a 2.5 GPA, 800 SAT score and 17 ACT score effective in the fall of 2013 Full Story: www.news-record.com/content/2010/11/25/article/at_will_raise_admission_standards_in_2011
