The Hampton and Morgan State folks are saying A&T will play Morgan State in the annual Urban League Classic (some call it the Whitney Young Classic) at the Meadowlands of New Jersey, Giants Stadium. It is normally Hampton University and Morgan State playing each other but there was a conflicts of dates between the NY Giants and the classic.

They'll want revenge after the treatment the Dawg Pound gave their bball team. This game could be exciting.

The talk is Hampton and A&T on 9/15, not Morgan, and it appears Joe Taylor is doing the talking. But I can't find a source other than MEACFANS.com. What would it take to buyout a home game that early in the season?

I would think that it would take around 200,000 plus to get us there (including the band)....

Another rumor. The payout is reported to be $125k, not including expenses.
No way I would be happy with that. I say we stay home and play anybody. Is Fayetteville State available?

We better take whatever payday we can get until we see that our football program has returned to respectability.

If true, $125K clear after expenses is OK money. Expenses with the band would run about that much so the total including expenses would be over $200K.

Why play against a repeat champ on a neutral site, let them ride up and down the road. Plus I would rather go to G'boro than up the NJ Tpk.
That early in the season I still think we could get 10-12k in Aggie Stadium. I say bring Hampton in turn up the heat in the fieldhouse, wet down the field, put the band behind there bench, get some of there players drunk the night before, etc.
