I would actually pay to attend this event they had it again next year. I was thinking, instead of charging money outright, make it an 60-day Aggie Club membership drive kickoff with a elaborate booth setup at the back of the room (in addition to a BDF setup with a 20" monitor showing the site). 1) Make it an automatic benefit of being an Aggie Club member at the $XXX level. 2) Those that are not Aggie Club members, their admission ($25) gives them an introductory membership for one year. The next year they are urged to become "full" members. 3) For those that are already members, this is the perfect atmosphere to encourage them to increase their membership level. NOTE: If folk have the ability to use "plastic", memberships will flow. 4) Set a goal of XX new members and $XXXX of increased membership levels. Introduce new members at a Spring Game luncheon. This might be a longer term benefit.

I don't need to see any 60-year-old "could've-beens" trying to recapture the former glory of their playing days. That sounds like a broken hip bone and a lawsuit waiting to happen. It was for the kids ;D

OK, I see the concept now. It would be sort of like the NBA Jam Session setup they have for kids and familiesd during NBA Allstar week.
Yeah, we could have that right out on the practice field area, the morning before the Spring Game.

Would students be allowed in on their Id? Twenty five dollars is very low for an Aggie club membership...urge to become members....is the reason most are not members because of the $100.00 ?...just wondering

....is the reason most are not members because of the $100.00 ?...just wondering No. Folk waste more than that on a weekend splurge. People don't necessarily understand both the need and the benefit to both the school and themselves. Most folk still think the state pays for everything and/or have a WIIFM attitude. For example, I was surprised to learn that Coppin State does not even have Athletic Boosters at all and a few years ago FAMUs Boosters only raised $34,000 that year. The Aggie Club is 5x's more successful but it's even tougher after a winless football season for many (myself included). If you educate people about Aggie Club or anything else in a festive environment you have a better shot.
