I would actually pay to attend this event they had it again next year.
If you were a true A&T football fan you were in hog heaven last night. All the coaches and athletic administrators were in attendance and afterwards they all stuck around and spoke candidly with fans about the upcoming year. To a man, all of them said that they read this site regulary -especially Coach Adams. He said he loves how you can place your moose over the map on the recruiting page and see which players we've signed from each state.
Also, there was so much food available it wasn't even funny. The Aggie Club totally out-did themselves.
All in all, it was a fun, enlightening and well-organized event.

I heard the attendance was great with good food for all to have.
One suggestion to the marketingman; I would like to see something like this in conjuction with a home basketball game on a Saturday. You could have the event in the early afternoon and afterwards the alumni will take in the basketball games.
The turnout and the food look really great for such a short notice.

Anf remember you were saying $25 was too much. 300 people at $25 = $7,500 less expenses Still would've covered 5 grand

Charge $25 dollars and you probably won't get 300 people.
I still say keep the price around the $15 level and make sure you promote the hell out of this event a month ahead of time. There's no reason commericals for this party shouldn't be played on WNAA.

What the hell is greased? Should we tell him or not? Don't tell him... He wouldn't begin to understand. I can get a group together and show him though... ;D ;D ;D ;D

The experience would be something he could share with his grandkids. ;D ;D ;D It's funny how things change, that should be part of Freshman orientation

I could see a bunch of old geezers at homecoming running through the new dorms with a giant container of lube chasing kids.
I think you could charge 25 bucks to see that and get a full house.
It's great that the school is starting to host these types of events. Like thrilla said, next year it should be well-planned and promoted and it will build from there. Imagine what it will be like when we start winning some games.

From my understanding, this Signing Day party was a concept Fobbs brought with him from Texas A&M.

He shoulda brought some linemen too.
I remember when you were at the TAMU spring game a few years ago and it was darn near a regular game day with fanfare. Did you ask Fobbs if he plans to use some of their ideas to hype up our spring game in the upcoming years?

Actually, me and Craig are going to try to sit down with him pretty soon and do another exclusive interview. I'll take that opportunity to present some ideas I've been kickign around of how we can turn the Spring Game into a major event.
For starters, I think we should definitely have the marching machine there for a halftime performance and later, after the game, I would like to have a town hall meeting in the Stallings Ballroom where Dee Todd and Fobbs can give sort of a "State of the Program" Address and then do some impromptu fundraising.

Good ideas
Last year, during spring practice, the Atlanta Falcons had a practice open to the public at Grady HighSchool. They let some of the fans come on the field and participate in some of the drills.

Keep the fans off the field. They can enjoy camp good enough from the sidelines.
I don't need to see any 60-year-old "could've-beens" trying to recapture the former glory of their playing days. That sounds like a broken hip bone and a lawsuit waiting to happen.
