I was just looking at the online poll on BDV and I see 18 folks voted that we will have a winning season in 2007.
Please reveal yourselves and enlighten the rest of us! ;D

I'm the eternal optimist (as my wife reminds me). I know there's a good (even great) chance this (winning season of .500 or better) will not happen... but I can dream, can't I?

I have officially put this past season where it belongs (in the past). I will begin this season believeing that we will have a winning season, just like I've done every other season.

This is college football. NOt to mention, MEAC football. Anything is possible. Yall acting like we play a schedule full of powerhouses or something. 6-4 is very possible in any year within the MEAC for anyone. No matter what the previous year was like. So I'm always predicting 6-4 or better. We went from 4-6 to MEAC champs a few years back. What's the difference here?

We were a competitive 4-7. We weren't blown out in any game that year.
We didn't have a close game this past year. Not one. We fielded the worst team in the nation and the worst team in meac history. Seriously. Near the bottom in total offense and total defense. Not one positive to look at off last year's team.
Acceptable improvement over last year for me would be a competitive 0-11. I'd be overjoyed to actually see us win a game or nine but I'm not going to pitch a fit so long as we're not being outscored by an average of over 20 points per game.
I've seen teams turn the corner in one year. It always coincided with a massive influx of money and veteran players off a team that lost close games the previous year. We have none of that at the present. I figure we'll see all of that at the end of this year and we'll go from 0-22 to a winning season in 08.

I don't see football raising any sand for a while.... until the defense can learn how to read an offense!! I mean we can't stop screens, draws, traps or the option.... if our defense dosen't learn how to read off. lineman any better than that.... how can we expect success???
If the coaches read BDV here's a hint..... study the Louisville- Wake Orange Bowl game!! L'ville defense took away Wakes bread and butter plays..... the counters, the traps, reverses draws & screens!!! They played excellent asignment football!!!!!!
I can't figure out why no-coach has realized that these spread offenses that operate out of the shot-gun are nothing but an off version of the wish-bone!!!

Hell, I want to know who were the 43 people that picked 2008. Y'all must have not seen the same defense I saw last year.

One thing the coaches and players have to assume...... no matter how good you think you're going be..... everyone you play is going to be better than last year. So we have a lot of work to do!!!!
