Man...this is getting ridiculous! We have to reach for a reason why we aren't getting it done on the field....maybe it was the band's fault...LOL! Do we really hear how ridiculous that sounds? We can't we hold the persons responible that deserve to be held accountable? Let's not do this fellas...I know for some it's a bitter pill to swallow about our coaching staff because, our coach has made some promises and had some of us sold on those promises. But, at this point, he's flat out not getting it done. That's it...PERIOD! The band doesn't even belong in this conversation...let's be fair.

Only thing that should be said about the band is that they kicked the Rose Parade bound Eagles in the a$$ Saturday!

All I'm saying is let's have some degree of professionalism and respect for the game. We should not be playing after the teams break the huddle. We should show discipline in everything we do whether it be the football team, band or fans. Is it essential that we have music and shake our azz 24/7 ?

They do respect the game, which is why they bring the volume way down prior to the snap.

I am not a big fan of marching bands but I will say that the only thing I found bearable about the second half of the Hampton loss was watching how our band marched to their seats after halftime.
Right now our football program is so lackluster, our band is the only form of entertainment many A&t fans can enjoy inside the stadium.

I agree w/ Decks. IMO, there were occasions I thought the band was too loud while we had the ball. Did it affect the outcome of the game? No.

treese, then after the cheerleaders, it'll be Brandmaster and Krazykev....camera folk. They'll probably blame it on the flash from the camera. Cause the flash can sprain our team's eyes. I'm sorry this post is ridiculous.

It was the man sitting next to the man, sitting next to the man, that caused A&T to loss that game!

i may also point out that central's band was playing "at times" in the first half when our team had possession of the ball. but hey, the bands had very little if anything to do with the result on the football field. we're just a horrible football team right now... If they played while we had the ball the officials were suppose to have given them a warning. Of course they were too busy decorating the field with "yella flags".

Somebody has to make some noise during the game because our fans sure don't !! Our band blew NCCU's band off the field at halftime and killed them during the 5th Qt. Way to go B&GMM!!! And "Golden Delicious" , oh, I mean "Golden Delight" ;D is still the best in all HBCU's, hands down!!

From what I'm reading, frustration is all over the place. I have not read where anyone is saying the band cost us the game. But, as former athletes, we know that the band playing loud when the qb is calling signals can cause miscommunication.
All some of us are saying, prior to the snap of the ball, just chill! On several occassions Saturday night the band played loud prior to and during the snap of the ball.

Folks honestly, it was Golden Delights coral uniforms. They were too bright and blinded the players. Our deepest and most sincere apologies... ;D All jokes aside, being an actual product of Aggie football (not just a fan) its so hard watching the team lose. It doesnt even matter how many times it happens, it never gets any easier. I find that each week I still start the game out with the "lets rally behind the boys" mentality and am very outspoken about supporting the team to band members/staff. Others who dont have a father and brother (and many play uncles) that were aggie football players don't share my sentiment. But also the band head in me feels like while there is a battle on the field, there is also one going on in the stands that (to a band member) is just as important. There are times when we don't pay as much attention as we could or should, typically caught up in the heat of our own battle. I think the issue for the band becomes mixed messages. For example, one minute its "sshhhhhhhhhhhh the team cant hear!!!" then when we are winning its "play band play...play something...get us hype!!" So over the years I guess we have just said, oh well. Serious question though... I watch football on television. Those stadiums seem pretty dang loud to me...sometimes deafening levels of background noise. Big college ball bands are just blasting. Pro ball fans of thousands can be louder than bands sometimes. Why the "be quiet" rules in black college football? And does that impact players ability to be effective at other levels of play? (like if they go pro)
